To avoid any contact with your wounds or bandage, we recommend that you have someone else assist you in stretching the opening of the cast cover while it is being worn.
It's of excellent craftsmanship. I've never had any problems with mine, and I've used it a lot. Mine lasted at least four months in my possession.
This is a fantastic invention; I wore the arm cast cover to the shower every day. I would wear it if I were going to the beach and standing near the water's edge. The cast will not be harmed by water!
Water under the cast is the last thing you want, but I believe you could swim if you were careful. I used mine in the shower and had no problems with leakage. I'm not a doctor by any stretch of the imagination - a different user

This is a fantastic and long-lasting arm guard. On May 29, after a hand certified plastic surgeon repaired two fractured fingers on my left hand, I purchased a similar product for $20 plus tax at Walgreens. When that cheaply made product started leaking after only a few weeks, I went on vacation to Cinti and found a similar product for $10 plus tax at a Meijer's store. This product did not leak, but the elbow end of the protector needed to be sealed with rubber bands. I found this far superior protector for less money on Amazon because I had another 6 weeks before my surgeon removed the wires from my fingers. Without the use of rubber bands, it creates a secure and comfortable seal. The company inquired about my satisfaction with the item and informed me that it was covered by a lifetime warranty. Because I hadn't used it when they contacted me, this review serves as my response to their inquiry. br>As a massage therapist who hasn't been able to work for six months, I'm frustrated. I have no intention of repeating this serious injury after a year; However, I now have a product that I can use or loan to a friend or family member in the event that it is needed.
This is a fantastic item to have for showering while wearing a splint or cast! I bought the adult large (I'm a female, older adult) but could have probably gotten away with the smaller size, as it extends well above my elbow. After you get past the device's collar, it's very roomy, and it's definitely watertight for showering. It is not recommended that you immerse yourself in this. If you have a wrapped splint or dressing, you may need some assistance getting it on and off to avoid pulling on it. It's ideal for hard casts because it's simple to put on and take off. This product is highly recommended, and I would purchase it again.
each and every time Unfortunately, I purchased two of these in the same year. The problem isn't with the product - In the span of a year, we had two broken arms. The first one was tossed out - because who knows when the next kid is going to fall and break a bone in their hand?br>br>The adult-size sleeve covered both a full-length and a half-length sleeve. My 7 and 9-year-olds were given an arm cast (hand to underarm) and a half cast (hand to elbow). The first one we bought lasted for the 13 weeks that one of them was in a full cast, with a little moisture getting in if one of them "forgot" and submerged their arm - However, it did keep all five cast members dry while bathing. I still have the second sleeve we bought in case something happens.
It was much larger than I required. But when it comes to post-op dressings, the saying goes, "Water finds a way. " " This is completely correct. This item prevents the dressing from becoming wet. I believe the only drawback is that I had the dressing in the first place, which was a plus. Surgery, on the other hand. Surgery should only be performed if it is the only viable option. As a result, this item is ideal for this purpose. Carpometacarpal arthroplasty with tendon transfer should only be done if absolutely necessary, as this item is excellent for keeping your dressing dry. If your dominant hand is your operative hand, this dressing will not assist you in wiping after using the toilet. Before your surgery, put in a lot of practice time. Just thought I'd mention it.
My daughter broke her arm, and the doctor recommended that we buy one of these so she can shower without getting her cast wet. The top of the cast cover is made of a stretchy rubber material that is tight enough around the upper arm to keep water out but loose enough around the hand to allow you to scrub your hair and grip items with your exposed fingers. What a wonderful invention; we didn't have anything like this when I was a kid.
I ordered a child's size, but the mitt is enormous! It could easily be used by an adult (though it was a little too big for my adult arm at the time). The band that goes around the arm, on the other hand, worked perfectly for our 6-year-old daughter and works just as well on an adult to keep water out of the cast; I was impressed with how well it worked and, more importantly, how simple and convenient it was to use.
This was my second waterproof cover from this company; the first was for my foot, and this time it was for my arm. This year has seen a lot of surgeries. Regardless, these cast protectors did a fantastic job! I still have them in case I need them in the future. If you're unsure whether a plastic bag will suffice, get this instead!.
After my hand surgery, I bought this so I could shower without worrying about getting the bandage wet. My wife, of course, assists me in putting it on, spreading the rubber seal over my cast and allowing my hand and cast-like bandage to fit through the opening. The seal is tight on my bicep, just above the elbow, but it does not cut off circulation. I've used it about six times since it arrived and have yet to have any water seep inside, despite the fact that the plastic appears to be very thick and should not tear. This is an excellent product.
