they got it right away! Everything appears to be in order- However, you may not receive your free 3-month subscription to World Explorer if you activate it on the mobile app. I had to contact Ancestry to have them activate it for me, and they said they've been having problems with people activating their accounts through the app. When I contacted them, they had no trouble activating it for me, but if you don't want to go through the trouble, just activate it on your computer!.
My mother is an adopted child who had no idea who her biological father was because he could have been any of a number of people. We found my father, sister, and other relatives within two days of receiving my results! It was an amazing adventure.
We were both adopted, and I was able to make contact with my biological family without even having my original birth certificate, which had been sealed at the time of my birth. I was able to connect with three siblings, several first cousins, and aunts thanks to the help of a genealogist search angel. Unfortunately, I waited too long and my birth parents were no longer alive. br>br>After a months-long search, I decided on Ancestry because I was concerned about privacy, and Ancestry was the only DNA repository that had no data breaches or sold data to third parties. br>br>After all, I didn't know who I was related to, so I wanted to be safe. They also have the most comprehensive database of any other DNA company. br>br>Before activating your free membership, keep in mind that it takes six weeks to receive your results. Wait until you've received your results before making any decisions. br>br>Finding my genealogy and finally filling in the gaps in my story is incredible. Non-adoptees are never forced to consider this, but closed adoptions always leave a gap in history. br>br>For both my adopted and biological families, I was able to create family trees. Ancestry is a fantastic resource that I highly recommend!.
line, rather than using the mobile app to get the 3-day free trial, The month membership has been added correctly. As others have stated, the kit arrives in good condition, is simple to use, and so on. br>br>HOWEVER, if you register the kit using the mobile app, the 3-year warranty is waived. br>br> World Ancestry Explorer has been deactivated for the past month. and it will never turn on on its own. br>br>After that, you must work with Ancestry support to resolve the issue. They are extremely helpful, but having to go through this extra step is a pain in the neck.
I was disappointed that I paid extra for the 3 month world explorer membership kit, only to find out that when I activated it, it offered 3 months for $1, which I couldn't use in addition to the 3 months that came with it. I could have purchased the kit without the three-month subscription for $30 less and paid $1 for the three-month subscription when I activated it. br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Kit had been misplaced by USPS. I contacted Ancestry support for a replacement kit, but was informed that there is a 20-day waiting period before a replacement can be sent, which I consider to be excessively long and poor customer service.
I ordered the trial 3 month membership with test ($140), but after sending in my spit test, I can't find the activation code that came with it, and I'm unable to receive results, despite the fact that I included my contact information on the test card that I sent in. Because the customer service representative hasn't looked up or can't find my code, I can't log into Ancestry for my 3-month free trial. Or hasn't been able to get a code? br>I ended up wasting $140:.
I had to call Ancestry customer service to get the membership I paid for because it didn't come through when I activated the kit, and the sample was bad, so Ancestry had to send me a new kit to begin the 6-month process. It's the same 8-week process this time.
I was astonished and delighted by how the ancestry trees discovered incredible links to our past!.
