It was a perfect brace except for one major flaw, which was uncomfortable and caused sores. It is much too angled towards the thumb when it comes from the palm to between the thumb and index finger and to the top of the hand. It is not possible to align the fabric evenly between the index and middle fingers. In lieu of that, a narrow edge of the fabric is forced to the base of the thumb at the point that the webbing begins. It can be seen in the picture that the fabric has been folded near the palm and made to extend toward the thumb even more than it does already. The size of this would not be comfortable for a normal person. In the wrist band, I measured the length of my wrist and chose the correct size so that I didn't have to wear them tight. This will not only cause extreme discomfort and sores. I am sore to the bone because of the pressure. It has not stretched out enough, the brace is too tight, and I've tried padding and loosening the fabric with no success. Also, it's a bit of a shame because there were lots of things about this brace that made it so comfortable, slim, and supportive.

The symptoms I experience appear to be a combination of De Quervain's tendonitis combined with mild Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (repetitive strain injury caused by extensive mouse and keyboard use). My wrists are also very small (circumference 5 3/4") and I have a small frame generally, so I can adjust the size of this brace pretty easily. My feeling is that this brace is well constructed, and I believe it will be durable enough to use on a daily basis. As well as being machine washable, it is also hand washable. A brace like this one immobilizes the joint at the base of the thumb very well, which is what its design is for. During the day, you are limited in what you can do while it is on. Although the other four fingertips are still quite mobile, they do not have as much flexibility. In other words, if you need to stabilize your thumb, then this brace will be of help. It might be best to choose a brace that has an open thumb area if the thumb doesn't need to be restricted.

I was able to figure it out and apply it to my dominant wrist without any problems. We received this quickly via UPS and have been using it for quite some time now instead of an older one we had. With Velpeau, my joints are MUCH more comfortable and already improving the constant cracking, popping, swelling, pain, inflammation, and stiffness that come from sudden onset, arthritis symptoms caused by an allergic reaction to a quarterly injection of new medication that I just received. My current medications haven't helped, and since I'm rather leery of trying another one at this point, I'm not taking any further medications. As a result, I currently have a splint on my dominant hand, hoping to gain some relief so that I may begin to function more effectively. The relief I felt after just a few hours has been so good that I have already ordered another for my non-infected daughter I'd like to thank your dominant hand.

In this brace I have the same type as my Orthopedic gave me and it is the ideal Fit is perfect and the three different straps allow me to adjust the amount of compression with one hand.

I wear this at work because I do a lot of typing and suffer from DeQuervan's I work in a mechanic shop, so it is extremely hot in there as well. This brace was supposed to get hot, sweaty, and smelly, but none of these things have happened. In sum, it is an excellent substitute for an Orthopedic issued brace at a much more reasonable price.

In this case, the size refers to China, not the United States. You can order a size that's bigger than you need if you order a larger size. Having ordered a drug, I immediately went to the pharmacy. I had to take it back because it barely fit and was too tight. It is a joke when they are called "carbon", because they are so thin and are unable to hold their shape It's the same old story, bendy. The pros include I don't feel my skin getting cut off by the edges. As someone who has worn braces like this several times, I am particular about how they feel on my skin. I even like the tag that detaches the palm splint so that I can wash it. There is no skin contact between the splint edges. Flexible splints are present on the sides of the thumb, but I'm not sure how they can be removed, and I don't know if they can be replaced after they're removed. In regard to the thumb, its centre is snugly supported without cutting the circulation off. As far as immobilizing the top joint is concerned, this brace won't work unless your thumbs are very short. They may not provide enough support to decompress the joint. Though the brace is longer than I would have liked, it is not a deal breaker. There is no way to stabilize Velcro without sewing it to the fabric, and so the edges are likely to fray. There can be no independent adjustment of the wrist band and lower arm strap since they are attached. For those whose arm diameter just above their wrist is substantially larger than their wrist diameter, this would be a problem. I don't have a problem with it. There is the possibility of cutting the joins for better control, but then you run into fraying issues. If they are already attached, I just don't see the point in having two straps. However, I wish I didn't have to wear a brace, let alone one that includes a thumb stabilizer, but that's the way it is. Now that I've worn it two days in a row, I usually forget I'm wearing it. I am retired with illnesses that make it difficult for me to be very active, so I am not sure whether this brace would work well for tasks requiring As a whole, I am pretty satisfied with the service.

The sleeve fits my hand perfectly, and it is very strong! I like how it is SO EASY to put on AND how it can be adjusted by both straps to give the perfect fit! I COULD RAP THE THUMB STRAP A BIT more loosely The problem is, I'm not sure how it can be tighter! The fact that it can counter my movements is very appealing to me.
