I use it to practice kung fu, and it works fairly well, though it is difficult to use for forms that require a lot of wrist movement (such as basic Wing Chun forms).
The palm brace is made of plastic, not metal. Although the description says it's metal, the fabric on mine has worn through and it's clear that it's plastic. This allows for some wrist movement, which I find acceptable. A metal brace would be preferable if you needed to completely immobilize your wrist.
I'm sorry, but I also discarded the box. I have no idea.
Yes, I have both the left and right, and Rheumatologists and Therapists also recommend this brand. They perform admirably.

This purchase has made me extremely happy! Carpel tunnel syndrome is a serious condition that I suffer from. My brace was gone. I had ordered one and was disappointed when it arrived without the metal splint. Because of how bad my carpel tunnel is, I needed the extra support, so I returned it and replaced it with this one, which is perfect. It's the best wrist brace I've ever owned, and I've tried four. It's simple to put on, adjust, and wear because it includes a metal splint. It's also breathable. It's the first brace I've ever had that I've been able to sleep in. All of the others were either too uncomfortable or made my wrist sweat too much. br>br>As some of the other reviewers have noted, greens are an unusual choice for an interior color, but once tightened, it is barely noticeable. Also, I love that they included a piece of fabric inside to prevent the Velcro part from rubbing against your skin if you have a larger wrist. That was something I didn't have with any of my previous braces. This brace gets 5 out of 5 stars from me, and I would recommend it to anyone who suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome. br>(Be sure to choose which wrist and which size you'd like!.
When I recently experienced pain in my hand and wrist, I decided to purchase this wrist brace. First and foremost, it does a good job of keeping the wrist in a neutral position. It's as comfortable as a device like this can get. For two reasons, I've given it a lower rating: br>1) I couldn't find any instructions for washing. I ended up tossing it in a mesh laundry bag and putting it in the cool washer; It also appears to have made it through a quick trip through the dryer. br>2) The soft lining material connecting the two sides under the Velcro straps is insufficiently wide. If you align the lower (elbow-to-elbow) and upper (elbow-to-elbow) end) If you don't close the Velcro strap tightly enough, it will irritate your exposed skin. It's not a big deal if you think about it. breaker; I've learned to slightly misalign the strap so that the rough edge doesn't scratch my arm. The soft material strip only goes about halfway down the length of one strap's slot, as shown in the photo. Br>br>I also have a problem with the fact that it doesn't open very wide - As a result, it's difficult for me to put my hand through the sleeve without injuring myself.
My wrist was recently injured due to a compression of the ulnar and median nerves. Steroids, ice, and a wrist brace were prescribed by my doctor. Despite the other favorable reviews, this wrist brace did not fit. I measured my wrist at 8 inches before buying. 5 inches in diameter. I ordered the "L/XL" size because it should fit hands with a wrist circumference of up to 10 inches. A huge blunder! It wasn't big enough. I had to double-check a few things. Double-check that they didn't send the incorrect size. To be sure, I was able to put it on and the straps were comfortable, but the brace did not fit as well as the pictures on Amazon suggested. br>br>If you look closely, you can see that the black neoprene parts are supposed to overlap, and the straps are supposed to come almost all the way around to the inside of the wrist, but this is not the case! The straps were only just fastened to the Velcro, exposing about two inches of the green elastic material. The two sides didn't even come close to meeting in the middle. As a result, my thumb began to feel uncomfortable after a while, and after an hour or so, I realized that the hard plastic insert (wrist support) on the inside of the brace was putting pressure on the webbing of my hand, aggravating my pain. br>br>To cut a long story short, unless you are a child or a very small woman, do not purchase this product; it appears to me that the manufacturer's idea of "large" is simply to take a small size and add longer Velcro straps. When, in fact, the brace's width should have been increased to allow the stiff inserts, which are supposed to be centered on the hand and wrist to prevent movement, to be spaced further apart. Misalignment is only going to make things worse. Be wary of the buyer!.
I PURCHASED IT FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: br>While sleeping, my wife's wrist is frequently bent in a painful position. I bought this brace (along with the right one) because I needed something to support her wrist while still allowing her to move her fingers. DOES IT WORK? br>br>WHERE DO I GET IT? br>This wrist brace is one of my wife's favorites for a variety of reasons:
- First and foremost, given its high quality, it is not at all expensive.
- It's the perfect size for my wife's small wrist.
- Because the straps cannot be fully opened, she can adjust the brace with her other hand.
- It provides complete wrist support while allowing her to do things like read or use her phone.
- It has a lot of stiffness in the wrist area but isn't too heavy.
