We were given splints that were both huge and uncomfortable by the doctor. This is what I found, and he was interested in trying it. This is what we got X- His box says he is youth (the box is small). He is 6 years old and weighs 47 pounds. This is the perfect size for him as he is a tiny kid. The velcro straps did need to be cut down, but it was easy and not a problem. My ortho was really impressed that they have marvel on them, and every one asks me where I got them from.
An x-ray was negative after our 3 year old was injured on his scooter. Keep the aluminum split and the ace wrap one for two weeks, according to the doctor. Our little man loved this. We picked it up for him since that got gross fast. Wearing it isn't a problem for him, and he's not shy about putting it on. It was only a matter of taking it off he didn't want to do it. It was a good overall experience. A few things could have been better when it comes to fit and finish. It is a product I would purchase again if the need arises.
Our son suffered a micro fracture to his arm, and his doctor offered us the choice of either a brace or a cast. We chose the latter and we are thrilled with the results. The fact that his sticky arm won't be a nuisance already is a big bonus.
We used this brace for my son, who fractured his wrist at age seven. Our doctor had given us a brace that was labeled size small, so I was unsure if it would fit, but we ordered size extra small and it fit perfectly. In any case, we did shorten the velcro straps, but all in all, I'm very pleased with the The son said it was more comfortable than the one provided by Dr.
A 6 y/o boy found it to be a good fit. It was able to be shaped into the proper position by the therapist.
It was great that the sizes were accurate for the kids. It would have been great if it had come in girly colors or patterns, but the red, white, and blue colors of Captain America were.
Unfortunately, the metal plate meant to immobilize his wrist kept sliding out, negating the purpose of the whole thing.
