It seems to me that the only way to cut large rings is with opposing blades guillotine cutters. This cutter gives me the same results as my expensive cutter that breaks every 6 months but costs a fifth of the price. Even if it fails in half the time, I can replace it for much less than the "high end" This is a pretty good cutter. The cigars that fit in this machine (50+) are large ring size cigars.
It is absolutely perfect. Nonetheless, I was quite impressed by the sharp, accurate cut you get from this thing when I recently gifted it to a friend who was, like me, thoroughly impressed by the sharp and accurate cutting you can get from it. For our camping trip, we needed a cheap cigar cutter, but we also wanted to ensure that we wouldn't lose anything expensive in the woods, and it would be sharp enough to slice through the dozen cigars we were bringing. My sticks were packed so tightly that this thing took a beating, and with the sharp edge and power it has, I was able to smite it with deadly precision. Make sure you have some of these on hand. People who smoke are likely to want to steal your cigarette.
My goal was to purchase a cutter to cut off the longer cigars if I did not have enough time to smoke them all in one go. I had a couple 60+ gauge cigars that were 7" or longer and I wanted to be able to cut them off. A cutter like this was an obvious choice in light of the gauge size and cost. Although I was blown away by how sharp the blades and operation were, I have kept my hands away from the machine. Since I started using this in place of my Xicar and Colibri cutters, I have switched from their use to this one. Replace the blades for only a couple of bucks if the blades ever dull or the "smoothness" of the knife begins to diminish. Note
The Vertigo cutter has become a regular part of my rotation. I am still using my "good" cutters, though.
The best cutter you can get for post it notes. Those who smoke 3 to 10 cigars a week will be able to use these for a year. pleasantly surprised at how sharp these are and how well they hold an edge. Now I have 5 of them and of them, a couple are over 20 months and are doing fine. These are great cutters if you're looking for a cheap one since you either leave them or lose them. A great product that they manufacture is Vertigo, and their triple gotcha lighters are solid, too. However, these are always there.
It is inexpensive. This ring has 80 facets. This is a super sharp shot. You need to be careful because the serrations can tear thinner leaf wraps, but it's fine if you keep them together. This is the sharpest cutter I've ever used and you can't beat the price!.
I bought it after seeing a YouTube video showing it cutting through many carrots, then cutting through a gelatin made finger (the mobster torture test), then cutting perfectly through a cigar.
The cutter I ordered here is a replacement for the $30 one I lost. I have been using this cutter for a few weeks now, and it's far better than my other cutters. The price is excellent.
Purchased some sticks in 7x70 and had to grab this as well. This was a great bargain for a great product.
