Mine isn't compatible with Alexa as well- I'm also unable to write a review, as are many others. br>Today (Feb. 1), I dialed their hotline. 3, 2022), and the representative informed me that there is a "problem" with the software. Amazon claims that their software is defective, but they are confident that it is working properly. They're attempting to rectify the situation. In the meantime, it will only connect to your phone via Bluetooth. To put it another way, it's a waste of time. I'll see if it works with the phone turned off tonight. By the way, the bulb isn't particularly bright, making it largely ineffective.

I've tried several times to connect this bulb to an Echo Dot or Echo Plus with no success. I followed the instructions and reset the bulb several times. Nothing.
Despite the enclosed brochure's tiny tiny writing claiming that these bulbs are engineered for "frustration free setup," I found the opposite to be true. br>I clicked them 5 times to reset and try again, and I clicked them 10 times to reset and try again. Apart from them not pairing my alexa app or my dot, one thing I noticed was that the plastic base became extremely hot. Maybe its tiny brain was about to explode or something, but these cursed bulbs never connected. br>I returned the first one, and they sent me a replacement, which didn't work either. I spoke with someone in India, and they were so sorry for my disappointment that they offered to send me another one for free. At the very least, they function as light bulbs. br>Thankfully, my first bulb came with my dot purchase, so I returned it. Now I have the replacement, which I was planning to send back along with the "smart plugs," which also refused to connect. br>Alexa was no help and even stated, "I can't help you with that," so don't hold your breath. br>Perhaps you'll be one of the lucky ones who gets these to work, but none of the ones I've gotten have worked after multiple attempts. br>Here's what I'd say to you: Don't. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. This bulb went out of the blue. I asked Alexa to turn on the light, but she said it was "unresponsive. " I tried resetting the bulb, resetting Alexa, and even disconnecting the router, but nothing worked. Then I got annoyed at myself for wasting so much time on a light bulb. I don't think it's a good idea. Try a different brand; I'm going to do just that.
I had no trouble connecting the bulb to my Echo, and it worked for about 4 hours before my Echo said it couldn't connect to it any longer. I tried resetting the bulb to see if it would reconnect, but nothing happened. I've tried this several times, but my Echo is still unable to connect to the bulb. What a waste of time and resources.
This was fantastic. Until Alexa was no longer connected. By resetting the lamp the first time, I was able to get it to reconnect. Despite multiple resets, it would not reconnect the second time. I'd return it if the return period had not expired. This lamp is not something I would recommend.
When they function properly, these lightbulbs are fantastic. The only problem is that they only work for a day and then stop. I bought a bunch of these to connect my Alexas upstairs. It took some time for Alexa to recognize and sync all of them here, but she eventually did. After a week, lightbulbs would disconnect and I'd have to keep resetting and resyncing different lightbulbs, to the point where I no longer use alexa or bluetooth and just turn them on/off with a regular light switch, which wasn't the point of my purchase. If it was, that would be ridiculously expensive, but I'm stuck with $100 worth of lightbulbs that don't work. I've returned and replaced, determined to get my upstairs in order, but now I realize that I should've just returned and gotten my money back because I've waited far too long to return because I've replaced them so many times that I've become numb to the point of forgetting. However, as I gaze up at my ceiling light today, it re-emerges. My rage was sparked by the sengled lightbulbs. their bulbs used with the hub might’ve’ve been a better choice but this brand is not your best choice . 1% rotten tomatoes 🍅.
I'm not pleased at all. They never connected to my two when I got them. I couldn't use their Bluetooth option because I was on a 4Ghz home network, so I tried that, too, and it didn't work. br>br>You must go through a difficult "turn on-off" procedure. off three times until flashing" setup, and the pictures in the instructions don't even match the app settings, so you have to guess what the same settings are that it's instructing you to use. But I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the setup because these bulbs never showed up in my local network, and the app never managed to connect to, much less control, a single bulb. I double-checked all four bulbs to make sure it wasn't just one bad one, and they all failed. br>br>It appears to be a trend that if a bulb is advertised as requiring an Alexa or Echo hub, then you will never be able to get it to work without one, even if the advertising claims otherwise; if it says "no hub, BUT IT WORKS PERFECTLY WITH AMAZON HOME/GOOGLE HOME," be prepared to only get it to work in those circumstances. "Without a hub, compatible with 2" is a phrase used to describe a device that does not have It's a joke if you say "4Ghz wifi or Bluetooth. " Maybe they do work with those hubs, but I don't want an Alexa or an Echo right now, so I specifically purchased bulbs that I was told didn't require them. The end result was as follows.
This is a replacement for a Phillips Hue that lasted 3 1/2 years. I couldn't bring myself to buy another Phillips Hue because I couldn't justify spending the money. I don't want to add anything else to my wifi mesh system because I have 30 to 35 devices on it at any given time. It took literally less than a minute to set up this Bluetooth bulb. br>At a third of the cost of the Phillips bulb, I couldn't be happier. In a few months, I'll provide an update on longevity. br>It comes highly recommended.
