Here's something to consider. KEEP THE EXTRA REMOTES AS SPARES! br>br> br>br>To tell you the truth, I can't recall the last time I didn't step on, spill water on, or lose the battery compartment cover. I wish I had another one on hand. There will come a time when you will require a new remote. You won't need to buy one this way. br>br>Thought provoking. Thank you! br>br>
The remote, in my experience, only works if you are very close to the bulb. A color change will almost certainly have no effect on a sleeping roommate in another room with a closed door. I have a bunch of them set up in a rainbow / xmas / new year's eve / etc formation about 10 feet apart, and I've never had them all change, just the one I point the remote at 1 foot away. If it's really important, spend ten times as much (or more) on smart bulbs with wifi, which allow you to target each bulb's ID directly via an app rather than using a remote like these do.
Hello D. Wheeler, br>br>This bulb is not rated for fully enclosed fixtures, but it can be used in outdoor fixtures if one side of the fixture is open and protected from rain or snow.
Greetings, Stacey. These bulbs will only work with other GE LED Color light bulbs.

For those who are overwhelmed by wifi bulbs, have a bad wifi signal, are concerned about wifi issues, or are not tech savvy, this is a good starter color led bulb floodlight style br30. This isn't as bright as the plain white br30 led bulb I paid $15 for in the store. It does get bright, but not in the way that a television does. It has normal blue and yellow light settings along with dimming options for 100, 50%, and down to 10%. You can choose from eight different colors. The colors aren't as vibrant as they should be, and there's no way to dim them. The light switch or the remote control can be used to turn off the light. If you turn it off with the switch, you'll have to wait a few seconds for it to turn back on with the switch, and it'll go back to regular light mode. The main light is more of an amber color, and there is no true white; however, it is a much less expensive alternative to Phillips hue, and it is recommended over ge wifi bulbs because they have issues; however, I wish it had an adjustable app and was a lot brighter. Bonus: If your house experiences random power outages, these bulbs will not turn on when the power is restored, waking you up in the middle of the night, as has happened to me several times with wifi bulbs in the last six months. If you want ALEXA support, the only option is to use wifi bulbs, and we found one that works reliably. The Lohas are more vibrant, but only one of two, and they die quickly.
This product is EXACTLY what you need for those lights that are just out of reach. The ability to dim the lights is fantastic. The color option is the only one that I don't understand. Maybe that's normal for someone my age. Red, pink, and green, on the other hand? There are also two white lighting options: a traditional white like that of old incandescent bulbs, and a super white like that of early LED bulbs. I appreciate the variety of options because I would have returned it if it had only been the bright LED white. br>I really like the bulb, but it has some features that I don't use.
The appearance and functionality of the remote do not match the product photo. br>br>I purchased this because the remote appeared to be of good quality and would be enjoyable to use. It has a graduated warmth setting and gradated dimming, as shown. Rather, it comes with four pre-programmed options. There is no way to control the brightness of the lights, and there is no way to control the warmth. br>br>It also has a cheap look and feel to it. Very dissatisfied. br>br> Because of the remote, I had to pay a higher price. Instead, I'm going to get a cheaper one.
It's simple to use and install, and it works well so far, as the headline suggests. My main gripe is that the purple in the BR30 isn't nearly as purple as it appears to be in the A19 in other people's photos and in the product photos. It's a nice softer lilac, but a stronger purple option that matched the other colors would have been better. In fact, having the ability to adjust colors individually rather than just the presets would have been preferable (though I was aware of this prior to purchase). The main thing I didn't realize is a problem is that the 100%/50%/10% brightness settings only apply to the soft white/daylight settings. The brightness of any of the other LED colors cannot be changed.
I was worried about the brightness when I set them up during the day, but they're fine. I wanted each of the six lights to be a different color for the season. To get different colors, I had to unscrew all of the bulbs except the ones I wanted to set the color on, then unscrew those while I set the color on the next one, and so on. I was planning on removing and replacing with the while bulbs after the holidays, but I may just turn them on to white and use color on other holidays.
The bulbs work well, and the colors are all pleasing; however, I wish I could adjust the brightness of the colors when using them. The remote is also excellent; I purchased two and the remote is compatible with both.
These were on sale, and I needed some color bulbs for parties in my living room. I assumed that because the wording says "no wifi required," rather than "no wifi capability," it means it works with both the remote and wifi. That, it turns out, is incorrect. The remote is the only way to use it. Smart phones and voice assistants are unable to access these. I'll most likely try to return them and replace them with real wifi bulbs. There's nothing wrong with the product itself; it's just that the vague wording is likely intended to fool people into purchasing it.
A fan and two canister lights are connected to a single light switch in my Sunroom. Because it's nice to have the fan running throughout the day, I'd have to hire an electrician to run a new wire to the lights or the fan, but it wasn't worth a couple hundred dollars. So I looked into bluetooth or wifi lights, but I didn't want to have to get out my phone or ask Alexa to turn the lights on or off every time I wanted to do so. Then I came across these and purchased them for about half the price of the smart bulbs. br>br>They're fantastic because, in addition to being able to run the gamut of rainbow colors, they also provide daylight (4000K) and soft white (3000K) light, as well as the ability to dim them with the remote. br>br>I didn't have much else in mind - Because each bulb comes with a remote, I hung one near the light switch, and it now floats around the room!.
