Questions & Answers

Is it possible to turn off the light by using the power switch?

Yes, this is possible. When you want to turn it back on, however, you must do so at the switch. You must manually turn it on because Alexa or the app will not recognize it as online.

Is it possible for this smart light bulb to change colors?

A single color (5000k daywhite) is used in the bulb. It can be dimmable by saying "alexa 2010% light".

Is it possible to dim the Bluetooth bulbs? Is it possible to program them to run on a timer?

Yes, you can dim them and set a timer for them.

Is it possible to individually control each bulb?

Yes, give each one a distinct name, and Alexa will take control. However, if you want to control everything, you can simply say lights.

Nope
3/5

It was a breeze to set them up. They were productive on the first day, but now they are idle. I can't even get them to reconnect, let alone get Alexa to connect with them. So I went out and spent a lot of money on regular light bulbs. I'm really annoyed.

After that, everything went to hell
3/5

Because I had to install each bulb one at a time and reset them as I went, these bulbs were a little difficult to install. I had to turn them on and off five times in a socket, and if the socket had two bulbs, like a lamp, I had to do it one at a time. They seemed to work well with Alexa at first, but I had to create groups so I could turn downstairs lights off, upstairs lights off, and so on. I've had them for three days, and we had a storm last night. The Wi- For a brief moment, the internet connection was lost. Not only did all of the echo devices I'd recently bought go crazy. The lightbulbs, on the other hand, all went out. As a result, none of the lightbulbs are working. They number in the hundreds. So, if I have to reset them all individually after a minor storm in which my Wi-Fi was disrupted, That isn't going to work for me if the Wi-Fi goes out. I spent nearly two hours putting them all together. And the idea of having to set them up all over again is ridiculous, so I'll give it a one-star rating for now. And if I can figure out a way to solve this problem, I might be able to increase it. Initially, I was enthralled by the fact that they could be controlled by voice using Alexa. And that voice control could either make them dead ends or make them brighter. That appealed to me.

A massive letdown
3/5

It's no surprise that these are the only brands available on Amazon. I've never had a positive experience with them. I tried everything I could to find a solution, but it didn't work. Apart from providing light, these bulbs are useless. I got six of these as well, and had the same experience in various outlets and rooms. The WiFi it says to connect to isn't even an option, and Alexa may discover the devices one time but not the next time you want to use Alexa with them. Also, I'm a Prime member who hasn't received these in a few weeks. I didn't opt for a non-alcoholic beverage. There's also a premium delivery option. I would not recommend it. I do, however, enjoy my Wyze bulbs and ground plugs, which are different brands, but I figured I'd point people in the direction of better-functioning bulbs and plugs.

Do not buy if you are being deceived
3/5

*****EDITED: DO NOT BUY THESE*** They connect at first, but if you forget about them and use the light switch too often, they disconnect, and it appears that no matter what you do to troubleshoot them, they will not reconnect to Alexa. *****
br>We now have these bulbs in every room of our house, including some colored ones in each of our five bedrooms. Connecting with Alexa is extremely simple. Because of the Alexa app, the setup was also very simple.

Update
3/5

It's working perfectly. ceased to function - Again. YET ANOTHER UPDATE. All of the lights are now switched on and working. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I reloaded the app, grouped the lights, and they now work. UPDATED: NO LIGHTS HAVE BEEN CONNECTED ALL OF A SUDDEN. I've tried every reconnection option, but nothing seems to work. It's time to call and see if I can get replacements or a refund using a different brand! THE LUMINOUS LIGHTS ARE ANNOYING. I put the bulb in before the dot when I first received my free bulb with a new dot. My older Alexa was unable to connect with the bulb. They started working after we connected the new dot and played around with the app. So, because I wanted to stick with the same brand of bulbs, I ordered a four-pack with an extra dot. I installed all the bulbs, they all connected and dimmed fine, then I installed the new dot and all the lights stopped connecting with a message on the app saying "device is unresponsive" and Alexa kept saying "lights not responding," even though they were turning on and off on command. After receiving "the lights are not responding" after the lights had been turned on by Alexa and me screaming (I'm not sure why I scream at a machine) the lights are ON, stop telling me the lights are I checked the app today as I typed this, and everything appears to be working fine, with the exception of one light that I haven't turned on in a while. So, if you find yourself in this situation, please let us know. Try yelling, "The lights are on!" instead of "The lights are off!" I have no idea why the bulbs began to work, but they do. I like how bright the bulbs are and how dimmable they are. These bulbs were given a 2 because of the difficulty in setting them up and connecting them. Let's hope they keep up the good work.

These are ineffective
3/5

There are 38 lights, six Alexas, and no hub. One day of work, one day of work, one day of work, one day of work, one day of Half of the lights went out; I fixed them and worked three days a week for three weeks. single. light. I reset them one by one, and now I can't get a single light to stay connected. "Why don't you buy a hub?" I suggest. br> "I can pair it, Alexa will see it, and then it will be unresponsive. " " I did. I was unable to get their hub to recognize even a single light. I spent hours fighting that thing, and now I have a fully automated home with everything from security to window blinds. I have a Nighthawk router and modem, both of which are very high-end. This isn't a problem with me; it's a problem with the product, and don't even get me started on the app. Don't just take my word for it; do some research before buying. br> I was using Hue and had no major issues, so I decided to upgrade, and these seemed simple enough and less expensive, after all, isn't a Bluetooth bulb just a Bluetooth bulb? Wrong. br> I'm going to cut my losses and buy a real product; you've been warned.

They are easily de-vinculated
3/5

The lights should, presumably, be able to connect to Alexa without issue in order to be quickly turned on and off in response to voice commands via Alexa, but this does not appear to be the case; they connect and disconnect with ease, and it is not because the source or the WiFi have any issues; it is simply that they are not of the quality that one would expect; they do not integrate with Alexa as advertised.

Very bright and white
3/5

This is the light for you if you want a bright, white light. I, on the other hand, am not a huge fan. It completely de-personalizes the space and makes it feel cold and uninviting. It has a florescent lighting color to it. In fact, I bought it because of the price; I was on the verge of buying Philips Hue and now regret not doing so. There's a reason they're more expensive, and it has to do with the beautiful lighting they emit. I'll probably use these bulbs in less-traveled areas of my house and replace them with Phillips Hue bulbs.
