Questions & Answers

Is it true that these bulbs are only for photography purposes, or can I use them in my garage as well? Would they last a few years if used 5 times a day? Is it possible to work for 6 hours a day, 7 days a week?

These 6500K bulbs are ideal for photography because they produce a very pure white light that is similar to natural daylight, so it's really just a matter of color. They're not just for photography; you can use them whenever you want a white light rather than a yellowish light, which means you can use them in your garage as well. The Kelvin (K) value simply indicates the brightness of light. The higher the number, the whiter the bulb; the lower the number, the yellower the bulb (as in an incandescent or cfl bulb). The 6500K bulbs are the closest in color to natural daylight, so they'd be ideal if that's what you're after. If you want a light that is a little warmer in color, go with a lower K rating (e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g. (At least 5000K). br>However, I'm not sure how many of these you'd need to illuminate an entire garage. I'm only using these to light a small area (a cheapo 3X3' photography tent), and I'm using all four bulbs at the same time. I'm afraid I can't say anything about the longevity. Mine is rarely used by me; Approximately 5 hours per week. I haven't had any burnouts yet (it's been a few months since I had them). People I know, on the other hand, have had terrible luck with cfls in general; my boyfriend has never had one last longer than a standard incandescent. br>I hope you found this information useful.

What is the color of the light? Is it white and cool? I'm looking for a crisp white for my living room. ?

Although this light is 6500K white, it is not as bright as I had hoped. When I compare it to a Walmart-purchased GE 23W(Equals to 100W Regular) 6500K light, the brightness appears to be the same.

Is the voltage on these bulbs 120 volts?

They are, in fact, 120 volts.

I'd like to order some of these and a few other items, but you don't ship to New Zealand. Is this something that can be changed?

At this time, we do not provide international shipping services.br>Best regards,br>kimoutlet

I ordered 8 (two 4 pack) expecting one or two to be broken in the mix (local shipping carriers can be rough on packages), but I was pleasantly surprised to find they were all intact, and they all worked, and they were all well packaged in their own individual protective foam packaging
5/5

Luminosity: Luminosity is a term used to describe the amount of light emitted by Yes! br>Wattage is a term used to describe the amount of energy used by a device. 45- ish, most likely. UL Listed: UL Listed: UL Listed: UL Listed: UL Listed: lol no. . br>Hazardous Waste Notice: Come on, you just paid half the market price, did you expect safety warnings and disposal notices? (nothing of the sort to be found)br>br>Okay, jokes aside, they probably don't meet industry standards when it comes to markings on the bulbs themselves, but hey, they're cheap, well packaged, and emit a lot of light. I noticed one was slightly off kilter, and the spiral was misaligned by 5 or 10 degrees from true; it doesn't affect it at all, and most people wouldn't notice it, but I could see it. It wasn't loose, and the bulb still works fine, so it wasn't a big deal. br>They're definitely brighter than the 23 watt Sylvania CFL bulbs I found locally, and I'm using a few of them to keep my Tamarillo happy now that it's spending the winter indoors next to a south-facing window. br>br>While they were all intact and functional, the materials, feel, and overall construction give me the impression that they aren't the most durable. I'm sure they'll work fine in typical stationary indoor locations, but I'd be hesitant to use them in something like a portable light stand that gets moved around a lot in the back of a truck. br>br>Excellent for the price; you or I could ask for more, but I believe we'd end up paying for it as well, and at the end of the day, I have lights that work for a reasonable price, which was the goal.

DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY
3/5

If I had the option, I would give these a one-star rating. To begin with, one of the participants arrived in a state of financial distress. Instead of sending me a new one, they only gave me a refund for the cost of one light, which was around $8, and I had to BUY another one. Really? Thanks. Second, these are without a doubt the worst lights I've ever bought. The base breaks away from the light after only a few uses and will not snap back together. They're made of cheap plastic and aren't designed to withstand a lot of wear and tear. Seriously, spend the money on lights that will actually work and will not break. br>br>I've bought these lights TWICE, and both times they've been a complete waste of money. I considered giving them another chance, but they continue to break off, which is extremely inconvenient for someone who requires lighting on a daily basis.

These are what I use for Zoom conferencing
4/5

They're a shade of blue that isn't quite right. I've had these for a while, and they're great for photography. Because they were too blue, they didn't work out so well. ish, as well as making newborns appear sick. LOL. They've been repurposed for Zoom conferencing in a 2-person setup. a light fixture They have a lot of light coming out of them. Even for someone who prefers white light to yellow, they are too blue for any race's skin tones. Aside from the color of the light, the quality of the light is fine; there is no flicker, and the bulbs have lasted for 6 hours a day since the pandemic began and show no signs of deterioration.

It's white
5/5

I'm a neophyte when it comes to video/photography, and finding lights that are truly white is always a pain. I've ordered four sets of these over the years, mostly because my flimsy light stand breaks them at the drop of a hat. I've only had a few go bad, and that's because they were used as a ceiling light for about 16 hours a day, and even then, they lasted a long time; I've never had a problem with them arriving broken because they're packed in Styrofoam, in individual boxes, boxed together, and further padded by Amazon's air bag things they throw in boxes. Are these the most cost-effective options? I have no idea what they are, but they work, are bright, and are white. For beginners, I would recommend buying a combo kit with lighting fixtures because you will need all of that anyway.

See the sun at any time, in any weather, and in any season
5/5

I'm not a photographer, but these lights are amazing in the kitchen because they light everything up so you can see what you're doing. You can also see where you didn't clean or where you forgot to clean. It is similar to daylight in that it brings out the colors in everything. It appears to be much brighter as well. But I think it's because of the spectrum and the fact that it's closer to daylight. I gave a couple to a friend whose chickens were in hibernation for the winter. He had lights in the coop before, and after switching to these lights, he began to get eggs again within 72 hours. Note : Without force laying, an egg can be produced in as little as 29 hours and as much as 36 hours, depending on the breed of chicken.

There are four bulbs included, but one of them is broken
3/5

I was initially concerned after reading another review after I had already placed my order that I would only bet one bulb for $20. br>br>I ended up with four bulbs, contrary to what some reviewers claimed. br>br>One of my bulbs was broken, as mentioned by another reviewer. br>br>I'm not going to bother coming back; the 5 dollars for the bulb isn't really worth my time. br>br>They are, on the whole, quite bright. They were extremely helpful in getting my streaming setup up and running. br>br>However, I wouldn't order again; I feel like I was duped because only three out of four bulbs worked, and I paid $5 per bulb. I would buy something else next time because it was a bit pricey.

Studio photography is a breeze
5/5

Great bulbs at a reasonable price, with a slightly bluer hue on the Kelvin scale but still neutral enough for post-production editing. I've had these for about a month or so and have had no problems. br>I have two continuous 5 bulb box lights, and I just ordered another set as replacements, to match the kelvin, and they're much brighter and about an inch bigger than the original bulbs I had in there. br>It comes highly recommended.

50% fail
3/5

Unfortunately, I didn't get around to using them for the project I bought them for (shooting tutorial art videos). With a small flash, two of them failed. They were still dead when I tried them in a different light fixture. One in each of the boxes appears to be in good condition. I had no reason to expect a 50% fail given the excellent ratings I had no reason to expect a 50% fail given the excellent ratings I had no reason to expe From now on, I'm going to look for lights made by a different company.
