Each Zilla Mini Compact Tropical Fluorescent Bulb is 6 watts and comes in a pack of two.

Design that is both energy efficient and compact.

At a distance of 12", the UVB output is 5-10 microwatts, simulating a tropical rainforest.

It's made to work with the Zilla Mini Heat.

Is it possible for a turtle to bask in the uva part? I barely feel any heat when I place my hand under it. ?

These are not basking lights; instead of a basking light, you would use a heat pad or heated rock.

Is it possible to use these bulbs with a mini halogen dome light?

They will not, unfortunately. The mini halogen bulbs would need to be purchased. Fluorescent bulbs are used here.

How do you tell the difference between tropical and desert bulbs?

In comparison to the tropical version, the desert version emits more UVB. On the Zilla website, they have a chart that shows the different UVA/UVB requirements by reptile species to help you choose the right bulb.

Is it necessary to replace these every six months?

So far, mine has lasted 2 years.

Great! The products were well-packaged and undamaged when they arrived

They both worked right away in my Zilla Pro Sol and my Zilla mini heat/uvb fixture! I was concerned that they would not. I'll update my review in about a month to see how long they last, but so far, I'd recommend them. With all of my reptiles, I go through a lot of bulbs, so it's great to find these sets on Amazon instead of at my local pet store, which is outrageously priced.

UVB lights are the best for us, but they don't last very long

For our pets and low-profile zilla lighting, this is the best option. They aren't very long-lasting, but they are necessary. We use for all of our reptiles, lizards, shakes, and tortoises. (I'm not sure which item on our Amazon order caused the delay, but it was the slowest Amazon order ever. ) It's been nearly a week.

This two-pack is a great deal; however, I wish the bulbs were available in nighttime colors rather than only daytime colors.

Other than that, everything is fantastic

So far, my zilla all-in-one hood appears to be working perfectly. The bulbs appear to have dead black spots on the bottoms, but this was not the case with my other bulbs. Other than that, everything is fantastic. I'll keep you up to date on the status of the project.
