I found it at last! It works great in the lamp that I just installed it in. The brightness and quality of the light are exactly what I recall. Despite the outrageous price and the fact that this bulb is not dimmable like the original, I am very pleased. I'm hoping that "you get what you pay for" in terms of durability, and that it will last a long time; if it doesn't, I'll provide an update.
I've been looking for something like this. The power of light is amazing. This is what I do on my computer table; I turn off all the lights except the table lights, which brightens the entire room.
The light does exactly what it says on the tin. Because the replacement bulb was as expensive as the lamp itself, I gave it a low "value" rating. That's a shame. I have two identical lamps that use these bulbs, and both of them burned out within five weeks of each other. I should have purchased two new lamps, in retrospect. It would have been less expensive and the lamp's quality would have remained unchanged.
Purchased to serve as a backup to a working unit. As a result, it's too early to give a rating. The light that is currently available is of a poor quality. The lighting in the unit is average, and it is frequently necessary to adjust it while seated. Neither the lamp nor the bulb would be purchased again by me.
My lamp is compatible with the bulb. When I'm mixing colors, I use the sunlit effect.
This was a great solution. It is more expensive, but in my opinion, it is well worth the investment.
