In 10 years I've used it on cheap shoes ranging from Walmart to Nikes and Sketchers, and it has never yellowed or left any kind of stain. This is one of the reasons I'm so convinced this product is the best.
Since I've been using cushions on my deck furniture for the last three years, I know I can trust it. I've owned them for 6 years and they still look like new! previously used the regular Scotchgard product I was unaware of the heavy-duty version until I came across it. After removing bed covers from the box and washing them in the washer and dryer at the end of the season, here's my procedure I just wash and dry them. Winter is the time to store them. As soon as spring arrives, I get them out and fill the covers with the pillow and cushions and spray them vertically and horizontally on each side. I let them dry and Pet pee has even been found on my cushions and it rolls off with no odor. You've got some great stuff there! Purchasing cushions for my deck furniture was a World Market experience. There is no way to tell if they are olefins.
I am happy to hear from you Indoor use is not recommended for this product. If your application requires it to be used on carpet, we would not suggest it. If your carpet is stained, we recommend Scotchgard Rug & Carpet Protector We recommend that you use a carpet protector.
I did the cushions for the outside furniture, and so it should work. Even though it has lost much of its flexibility, it still repels water, as it was intended to. If it were used on shoes, I don't think the material would be suffocating

Adding water repellent will make the material waterproof, but you have to pay attention to every spot. So you can't just spray it like an air freshener or just dust it lightly you must completely saturate what you want to protect. When it goes on, it makes the material look wet, but the material must be consistently moist throughout to be effectively In order to spray a concentrated amount of product, you have to spray it pretty close, about 6 inches or less, otherwise the aerosol will disburse it all in the air. In a single can, you will be able to cover no more than 10 square feet. If it costs 10 dollars per can, it is quite expensive. Where can I get more information on spraying the way you need to? In the event that the two cushions can barely be covered with cloth, I tried to save some money and lightly dust the third cushion. My garden hose allowed me to spray the two properly treated cushions and the third one. After being properly treated, the water beaded on the cushions and I was able to tilt them and it rolled Due to the dust that dusted the cushion, the liquid beaded on some spots and absorbed on others, resulting in splotchy spots that looked like a Jackson Pollock painting. I had to let the cushion dry and then repeat. It was difficult to determine how much area you could cover with a can since they were so intentionally vague about it.
I found the product to be very useful, however, it took a lot more than I had anticipated to handle the task. The directions were followed carefully, and after three coats, I tested with water, but not all of it was absorbed. It was necessary to dry the jacket, reapply it and test it three times more to see if it Even though it took almost the whole can to dry a jacket in a downpour, it deterred any moisture from getting inside.
It is an outdoor couch cushion protector that I purchased 9 cans to use on my It was easy to follow the instructions, and I even applied several coats as others have It ended up taking me 3 coats to cover the entire surface. This product initially worked very well and formed beads in the water, as Although I am writing this review approximately four months after receiving it, I am still extremely Once again, my covers have black moldy spots on them and if I wash them, the Scotchguard will come off. 3M was unhelpful when I attempted to contact them regarding the issue. It is essential that you understand that according to 3M it is to be reapplied "seasonally" and that the covers cannot be washed without removing all of the Scotchguard, so if you get a patch you'll be in a bind. In the long run, I won't even be repurchasing as it isn't worth the money or hassle if the product doesn't do its job even well.
It doesn't take long for the water to roll There are two square cushions on each of two chairs and a love seat with two rectangular cushions, along with four toss pillows, that I covered with two cans of covers.
There was a lot of snow on the trip, but the boots were totally
I liked it a lot!.
Our cushions for outdoor furniture use this, and so far it's been a wonderful product. Despite yesterday being soaked through nearly all day, the cushions did not get wet! There were in fact beadings on the surface and the water ran right off (see picture). On each cushion, we add about three coats of light paint. It took two cans to cover a love seat, two chairs, four throw pillows, and two cans for tables. This is definitely worth a try!.
The material is great for backpacks and luggage. I use it at school. If the rain beads up and protects everything inside, you should be careful about the smell, give it about a week to air out if you don't want to bother your neighbors.
The chairs are meant to be protected from the elements. They are attached to the walls and leave their backs and seats exposed to the weather. In fact, I applied the entire can, wanting to make sure that the fabrics were well coated. In the aftermath of the next rain, I examined the cushions to see if it worked well. It took two days to dry, even though I was hoping it wouldn't take me days to sit on them again. I wasn't a fan of it for that purpose. It might be better for something else, but it wasn't what I wanted.
