The cleaner has a mild ammonia smell, unlike Brasso, but I don't find it to be as unpleasant. I do not see any other ingredients on the label, but the label does contain ammonia. Whenever I polish my brass bed, I open my windows and turn on the ceiling fan. It is not offensive to me and I do not have any breathing issues. It is fast and easy to clean. An alternative brass cleaner by "the Hope company." that is milder and less odorous. While the material is quite attractive to me, I'll have to give up working with it for large pieces like beds. Whenever possible, I would suggest calling for a smaller piece of furniture, such as candlesticks. A smell does not emanate from it.
I've always used the polish and I've never had a problem with it There are no longer any local stores that sell it Amazon has it! I'm glad to find it there. There's a fair amount of material on there -- All I need per fixture is a dab of candle wax on a cloth.
You have to believe me when I say that they came out brand new and shiny since I used it on tarnished brass outlet covers. What a great product! I love it! The before and after pictures are such a stark contrast. I also didn't find the smell of the food to be as unpleasant as some have said.
It removed the black from the brass I polished, but did not remove the black from the green. Patina is green if there is any. My personal opinion is that patina is good and I don't think it needs to be removed.

The stuff you get from this company is amazing! As soon as I put a small glove on, you could tell that it was This is before we even begin buffing! Take a look at the before and after pictures. I find it amazing I highly recommend this book.
Approximately two years ago, I inherited a 100+ year old samovar from my family. Since I last cleaned it, it had been at least a decade since I last did so. During the last couple of months, it became increasingly dark with strange marks all over. Until recently, I was afraid of cleaning my dust rag, so I used it as often as I could. As the night grew darker, it became very pitch black. There had to be 10 artist stamps written in Russian on the front of the stamp. We never touch artifacts in a museum due to the integrity of the item, but I have worked with artifacts in a museum. It is mostly climate controlled, and most things do not need to be However, I would not be able to do so in my home. Using cigarette ash was the closest I ever came to using Anything on an artifact, but you have to find a smoker to do so. I love it. Whenever we went to my grandparents' house, we used a lot of samovars, as their insides are coated in calcium. The brass was wearing and I was fearful of seeing worn marks on it. It was easy, effective, and safe to use the Wrights polish. As a first step, I tested a spot on my back. covered the brass-coated bottom stand of the samovar with a cloth when I found that it was coated with brass. Polishing brass that has been coated would never be a good idea. There is no need to put polish directly on the artifact, as reviews state. You should apply polish to a rag rather than an artifact. I had no problems We kept our windows open and wore gloves because the odor was minimal and quickly dissipated. There are a lot of messy details in this project. One rag was used to apply polish, another for wiping with water (the samovar was too big to rinse under the sink) and another to buff up. I did use a fourth rag to polish away fingerprints before samovar was returned to the The blue green tarnish comes off a lot, especially if a build-up has formed. Consider having soft paper towels on hand for this job, it can be messy. In this way, I applied polish to small divided areas using a rag and applied in small circular motions. It took just a few seconds for the tarnish to lift. After wiping up residue, rinsing with water and buffing, it was rinsed and buffed up. I finished it. I took about 45 minutes, but this is a large piece with several parts, including the It looks like it was just repainted. Although I tried to take photos, the reflections were too strong in the light, and I am not very good at taking As soon as I see the stamps again, I will contact someone with an old Russian language skill, so he or she can interpret.
My favorite heavy duty metal polish is Hagerty heavy duty metal polish. I now own this product. I cleaned a brass fire extinguisher and a blow torch with it until I could no longer get any dirt or oxidation As I switched to the Wright, my eyes could not believe what they were seeing. A solid black cloth resulted after removing the dust from the two items. This is unimaginable. We are living in an out of this world experience. The Bible says I am a Christian. In the coming week, I will order several more bottles.
My partner and I were redoing an old dresser that had been sitting for at least 50 years, with hardware that was beyond filthy and covered in decades of grime. So, even after washing it quite a few times, there were still many layers of grime. As a result, there was no harsh scrubbing involved, and everything was removed with a damp cloth. Things still appeared tarnished to the naked eye, even when seen without a light source. I highly recommend it.
a copper watering can that I am obsessed with, and every so often, it gets dirty and I have to clean it. The day has finally come. "Wright's copper cream" is my favorite before, but I recently switched to this one. I ordered this polish last time I tried to order them, but they were out of stock. Here is why there is a There is a little sponge inside that you can use directly on the item that comes with copper cream and it comes in a glass jar with a screw off lid. In order to make the sponge itself effective, the consistency of the cream needs to replace that of the sponge. This allows it to spread on smooth and clean the item practically without having to wipe it I am excited to introduce you to this product. I smell more of a toxic substance and the layer is The product comes in a squeeze bottle without a sponge, so you'll have to use a soft cloth to apply it. When I poured it onto a piece of cloth, the liquid was messy and was a bit Also, it took a bit of rubbing and effort to get rid of the marks. They are both effective, but I will stick with the copper cream product for the foreseeable future, so that the process is streamlined.
I had to work hard to complete the task, but I also The bucket has maintained its good health with regular but infrequent reapplications. Tips for beginners It is common for decorative brass pieces to be It's important to keep in mind that the lacquer coat helps retard, but not completely prevent, oxidation, so eventually the finish will need to be refinished. Before you can polish your item, you will need to remove the lacquer, which is removed with lacquer thinner.
During my travels to Europe thirty years ago, I brought back a Turkish brass dish with me. has been packed away for the past ten years, so a good cleaning is called for. My car has been cleaned about 7 or 8 times with this stuff, twice leaving it on for several hours. I've used brushes, rubbed as hard I could, but it's still not as clean or shiny as it was when I first purchased Although it has improved quite a bit, there is one area that continues to be darkened despite how many times I scrub The past few times, I have been able to get it back to the gleaming brass plate I purchased. I used most of the bottle of product and a lot of elbow grease in order to get it halfway there. The brass plate is still dull and stained, and it has been for a long time.
My thanks cannot adequately express how thrilled I am with this product. We bought a new home 3 years ago, and the guest bathroom includes It didn't take long for me to realize the sink needed to be polished. It took me so long to find the right product. Moreover, I was so disgusted with the sink that we decided to replace it with a similar sink rather than to keep it. Additionally, it is difficult to find a comparable sink, and when we finally found one, the cost was $700 just for It came to my attention when searching for something I could use again. I find it to be very useful. I encourage you to try it without hesitating. You will be very happy for buying this product if you just try it. Compared to when we moved into our house, my sink looks much newer and better. Having one at hand is always handy.
