Questions & Answers

Trying to use it on silver, I have an 8 ounce container, it worked pretty well There is a pasty, flakey, dry consistency in the content. Do you have any suggestions?

The jar should be filled with just a small amount of water. As soon as the paste softens, it can be used as you normally would. To use this product, soak a damp 100% cotton fabric from a soiled object and apply it as a polish It's out of the question Once the items have been cleaned and polished, they should be dried with the shirt.

What will happen to a diamond if it gets wet?

A real diamond wouldn't do that, as it wouldn't be the real thing. You can remove the black oxidation from sterling silver by putting the cleaner on there. However, you cannot scratch or harm a genuine diamond with anything you put on it.

Do all gems and stones react the same way with this?

You should not use it on Herkimer diamonds. The stone will turn pink if it comes into contact with it. I love pink, so that's good!

The silverware in your dishwashing machine has likely turned white gray and lost its shine, as it might have run through the dishwasher? Does the polish restore its shine?

My insurance policy is with Hagerty, and I've used it Sterling silver flatware that belonged to my mother looked white gray, like yours does. I believe the caregivers used a fork tine dip for cleaning silver without ever using a polish on it. After rubbing with polish and cloth for a while, the shine returned. With regard to dishwashers, my mom and I have been putting silver through them for a very long time. This keeps it cleaner and you shouldn't have an issue with hard water causing what you describe. You should store silver in an air tight bag if you do not use it everyday.

This product is easy to use and produces brilliant results
5/5

It has been fifty years since I've been using Hagerty Silver Foam. I was recommended it by the jeweler who lived across the street from my parents when I was a young bride. To clean the silver, he suggested using a sponge made from natural materials, so over the years I have kept one on hand. While I must admit that it isn't my favorite thing to do, the silver foam makes things far more manageable. The delicate details in the silver that tend to tarnish because they are difficult to remove with conventional cleaning. The silver does not have any messy, chalky stuff on it that needs to be buffed off. In the simple act of cleaning, the foam creates a lather that acts like soap and water and helps lift the tarnish away. If you are finished with the silver, just dry it as if you were drying dishes after washing them. I couldn't have done it better. It has been a tendency for my silver to get less action and fewer cleanings as the years pass, so I'm frequented by "Oh, Oh" situations that require a little extra elbow grease, but the Hagerty products always get it back to like new. Since I have used it for years, I can also add that I have used it on jewelry. I'm very pleased with it. A special case is chains that tarnish at the places where the links connect and are otherwise impossible to open. Using the sponge and sudsy polish, you can get right into those cracks and groves. The fact that I can now buy this product from Amazon makes me very happy. My old department stores carried fine china and silver, and I had to go to one to get them. The following tip comes from the same jeweler who recommended it - and one I've continued to use over As I am finishing the silver cleaning, I always make a small well in the paste and add a few drops After finishing, make sure it is capped securely. A semi-automatic system will be ready the next time it's needed A liquid paste that feels like a foam and is easier to mix. Let the sponge dry by rinsing it out and letting it air dry You can also allow the container to dry on the top.

Jewelry really benefits from this! My sterling silver jewelry is too small to hold silver flatware
5/5

So I bought this for my gold There are a lot of them in my possession. Although I have polishing cloths, they're so much work and take so much time that they don't get into Doesn't the stuff work! My jewelry was so clean and how quickly everything was cleaned, I couldn't believe how quickly it worked. I used a cloth and then a soft toothbrush to get into all the nooks and crannies, then I rinsed them thoroughly with soap and water. below is a before and after, but this is a less than ideal example for this review because I had already cleaned most of my jewelry before I decided to write it. The reason for that is simply that I was extremely On the other hand, the other photos of jewelry show that they have all been cleaned with a Hagerty's.

This is awesome! It is AMAZING! I cannot wait to use it more! Scrubbing with hard bristles is not allowed
5/5

By wiping it with a soft cloth, I removed the tarnish from my jewelry. As I only posted the ring that appeared most tarnished, I did not include the rest of the ring. As well as my husband's wedding ring (he works with oil, grease and dirt all day long) and the white gold and diamond rings on my finger, I cleaned their rings as well. You are now able to see the sparkle and radiance that they once had! In fact, I only had to use a very small amount at the most (some of it stuck to the lid) and it worked perfectly. There is a lot of product in there so it will last a long time! The smell is not pleasant. There's a strong smell of dye in the air. It is still a great product, and if that is the only concern I have, then I will deal with it.

Worked for me! By scrubbing 12 silver items all at once, as opposed to the conventional method, I was able to wash 12 similar silver pieces all at once
5/5

For this reason, I put the above dish paste, one full lemon cut into 8 pieces, and baking soda, 1 table spoon, into a bowl of lukewarm water. I also cut up a piece of aluminum foil and put that in the bowl. I then closed the bowl for 2 hours and let the items sit for 2 hours. I removed the items, rinsed them in sink water, and patted each item with a paper towel to dry. The product is great! I am very happy with it!.

I think this is the best I've ever seen! Please be aware
5/5

I think this is the best I've ever seen! Please be aware. It is absolutely addictive to clean with this stuff. I used a wet washcloth to clean 3 chain link bracelets, eight rings, six pairs of earrings, and four necklaces with 1/2 teaspoon. As I dropped them into the middle of the washcloth and rubbed for a few seconds, the foam worked as I expected it to. It is not necessary to rub a lot. Suddenly, I have a whole new collection of The pearl rings I wear are very delicate, with intricate silver spacers which are difficult to clean. I had not worn them in years. Using this foam cleaner is a great idea! already used the spray, the dip, and the cloth, so this is what I'll be using going forward.

This is excellent
5/5

There are many options out there for silver cleaners. I have been looking for one that is gentle, easy to use, and quick. Recently tested this cleaner on some delicate tarnished silver jewelry with crystals and gemstones that had a tough time being cleaned. That is excellent! The program can be easily used. Once the cleaner got in the cracks, all the tarnish disappeared in less than a minute. The product is definitely worth recommending and I'll definitely buy it The retail store I visited recommended this product to me.

I like the way it works however, a residue remains and you have to wash it Silver and jewelry can be polished really well with this stuff, so it works great if you want to do that
3/5

Though, the bad rating is due to the white crusty residue that is left on the object after polishing, so you also need to wash the item afterward. It consists of two parts In jewelry, I do not use it as often as I used to, thanks to the step process. If I try it, I hope it will be a substance I can add to my polishing cloths, so I can polish and go without having to wash them afterward.

I have never seen such a great silver cleaner! There has never been a cleaner as amazing as this one! Previously, I had been given this very ornate silver chafing dish as a wedding gift, and it was in poor shape since it was tarnished so badly it was black on the inside and outside
5/5

Each and every one of them worked for me. Trying to find a silver cleaner that works for 15 years has been nearly impossible. There are cloths and creams that I have tried, but nothing compares to the incredible results that Hagerty silver foam silver cleaner provides. The foam (it's more like a cream) I used was applied thickly, I used some horse hair silver cleaning brushes (also bought on Amazon) to rub the foam into the silver for only a few seconds and washed the foam off with water and it was shiny A close look at the lid shows how all the reflections play off of each other. You can see from the following picture how badly tarnished the chafing dish was when it was first created and how Haggertys foam cleaner was able to revive it. It is the best silver cleaner available. I left a little cleaner on so you could see how it looks. Hunt no more. This is the best silver cleaner around!.
