There is no difference between liquid bleach and this product since it is also based on sodium hypochlorite, which is the active ingredient in bleach. I don't comprehend why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant. There is a 12 gallon container that I can buy 5 gallons of. It is generally not recommended to use bleach in the household after 90 days because it weakens over time and degrades over time (as per EPA standards, bleach rarely sanitizes around the house after only one day on the shelf). With the same $17 you would get 20x more, fresher, and much stronger than what this is, as sodium hypochlorite is likely only 5% or less of this product. I was unable to see the percentage of active ingredient, so I presume that that was deliberate.
It's not a good idea to use any liquid period on cotton memory foam. Foam can be destroyed by moisture in a variety of ways, not just on an aesthetic level. When a sponge is wet, it never fully recovers to its original form and only gets worse over time. You are basically creating a bed out of nothing.

In essence, it is a concentrated solution of Sodium Hypochlorite, also known as very concentrated chlorine Despite it working quite well and doing what it says, I would not recommend this product to everyone unless you know what you are doing and have a well ventilated bathroom (but you probably would not need it if you had a well ventilated bathroom). You can suffer severe burns if you come into contact with it. A contact lens can blind you if you get it in your eye. The use of this product practically demands the release of tons of toxic chlorine gas into the air, which causes permanent damage to your lungs and is extremely difficult to remove.
