Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use pull-ups instead of underwear with this alarm?

Under the pullover, I put on my son's underwear. up, & the sensor should be attached to the underwear She is able to feel the dampness at this point. Her skin is not being touched by the alarm. Pull-ups were a godsend when I got tired of changing sheets.

What is the sensor's length and width? It's difficult to tell from the photo and there's no information about it in the product description. Also, are the edges sharp enough to cause harm to the baby?

The alarm is similar to a small beeper in size. The sensor is only about the size of a quarter. I'd be hesitant to use it on anyone under the age of three who could untangle the cord if it became tangled. Sharp edges have not been a problem for my son. He is 7.

A "two-step" shut-off process is described in the description. How do you get the alarm to go off after it has sounded? Is there an on/off switch or a button?

To silence the sound, you must press and hold the button. It shuts down quickly, and you must make sure the sensor is dry. That's the next step, I suppose.

How do I activate the vibrate-only mode on this device? My child was terrified by the alarm. ?

A three-way switch can be found in the battery compartment of your unit. You can change the mode from alarm and vibrate to alarm only or vibrate only by pressing this button.

When all else failed, it worked
5/5

What a wise investment! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Ok. I'm stunned, to say the least. One of our children was dressed in a pullover. After potty training during the day, I've been up for almost four years. He'd go to the bathroom, get in bed, lay down, and pee in his pull-ups like a Pavlov's Dog. In the first ten minutes, I was awake. He'd then have to pee several times throughout the night. He's a deep sleeper who has a hard time waking up, so switching to underwear meant he'd spend the night in a wet bed and not wake up. Apart from medication, we tried EVERYTHING for him. According to the doctors, it is considered bed-wetting after the age of five. They have medication that can help with wetting, but when the medication is stopped, the wetting returns. Only about 6 of boys at age 6 were able to stay dry all night, according to online research. But as he grew older, he became embarrassed to reveal that he wore a pullover to his cousins. I'm still awake at night. br>br>Introduce yourself to the Wet-N-Wild-Wild-Wild-Wild-W Alarm should be turned off. So the plan was to stop drinking after dinner, go to the bathroom before bed, wear underwear with the alarm clipped to them, and then have layers of sheets/waterproof pads on the bed so we could easily remove a wet layer at a later time. 3 a. m. , and everyone must return to their beds. We eventually decided to just have him wear a pullover. He was wearing his underwear up over his underpants. This made things a lot easier for everyone. br>br>It was a difficult first week. He'd come into our room with the alarm vibrating (we turned off the audible alarm because he shares a room with his brother), and we'd have to take him to the bathroom (we made him try the potty again), change his underwear, and pull-up his sheets/pull-up his blankets. Get out of bed and go back to sleep. only to have to do it again two more times 3 times a night is a good number. Ugh. br>br>The following week began in the same way, but one night he managed to wake up and STOP going to the bathroom. We kept telling him that he should try it. So he did, and he went to the bathroom to finish. This seemed like a good first step in the process of rewiring my brain. We were ecstatic to begin programming! And then there was the shocker to end all shockers. He didn't wet the bed again for the rest of his life. Ever. We still take him before we go to bed once a night, and that will gradually taper off as he gains control (we did the same with our oldest and it worked great). But this alarm finally shattered the barrier we had built up between us and the mental connection he needed to make in order to stay dry while sleeping. For the price, br>br> I'm sorry we didn't do this a long time ago. He is now four years old. Brother begs to be given a turn with the alarm so that he can be free of pull-ups. ups too. We'll get started on that this week. br>br>EDIT 1 MONTH LATER: So our four-year-old son began that week, and within two weeks, he was able to complete the task. He, too, was finished in 5 weeks! There appears to be a tipping point where we think it's not going to work, and then it does. Done. And anyone who says it "goes off all the time for no reason" is probably mounting it incorrectly. It's not designed to be worn against the skin, in underwear, or anywhere else where sweat or moisture from the skin could be a problem. We attached ourselves to the outside of underwear, hidden beneath a pullover. on a sweltering summer's day There were no false alarms because he was a nice kid. It was never unplugged, disconnected, or had any other problems. The wire was tucked into the pajama pants and ran underneath the shirt. Everything went off without a hitch! br>br>I'm overjoyed that I came across this. In a heartbeat, I would purchase again! Bravo!.

When I was six years old, I tried it and it didn't work; when I was eight years old, it worked after one week
5/5

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to share my positive experience with the wet stop in the hopes of encouraging others. When my son was around 6 years old, I tried this system on the advice of a friend. He was a heavy sleeper, and his pull-up was always soaked in the morning. This system was exhausting for me after about three weeks of use. There have been many loads of laundry and sleepless nights as a result of this. My friend's son was eight years old at the time, and it took only a week for him to go a week without wetting the bed. I'd had enough. My pediatrician informed me that not being night trained is not uncommon, particularly in boys. She suggested that we rule out other possibilities by conducting tests and consulting with a specialist, but I decided to wait until he was eight years old. He was still sleeping soundly, but he was outgrowing his pullups; he was never dry, and every night he drank more than his pullup could hold. As a result, I decided to give it another shot. This time, my son was old enough to be equally motivated to complete the task. He was completely dry after just one week of using the wet stop! I just wanted to encourage others because, while I wanted him to be dry at 6 years old, his body wasn't physically mature enough to do so, but when we tried again at a later date, it worked perfectly. This device has made my life so much easier!!.

With a T, you could travel through time
5/5

and a year ago, I bought this! Oh, my goodness! Why hadn't we purchased this item earlier? We had been debating whether or not to buy it for over a year! We have a 9-year-old boy who has struggled to stay dry at all times of the day and night. It was very simple to use this product. He was able to attach the Wet-N-Dry to the Wet-N-Dry to the Wet After a few times of us showing him, he decided to use Stop 3 on himself. He is a very restless sleeper, and the vibrations and sound were enough to get him to sleep. He had a couple of minor (very minor) mishaps at first, but he was able to wake up and finish in the bathroom. We bought it in late January and forced him to wear it for the next three months. We insisted on his wearing it even after he had stayed dry for a while and had no minor accidents, but after three months, I stopped asking him to do so. He only wet the bed a couple of times throughout the process and hasn't had another accident since. There will be no more waking up in the middle of the night (every. single. Sheets and blankets must be changed throughout the night. Do yourself a favor and read this article. Get some rest and help your child gain confidence. The magnet is simple to attach to a shirt, and the underwear clip is simple to use! There will be no more late-night weeping angels. Strax would like it, too!.

My son ignores both the alarm and the vibrate! This is what we've been getting for the past three weeks
3/5

He soaked through three pairs of pajamas, his pee pad, and a towel I laid down after the first soak last night. Last night, everyone was awake three times because he was still soaked in pee and the alarm was going off in his bed. We do leave the alarm and vibrate on because he sleeps right through it. It makes no difference because he's fast asleep. We've decided to go back to nighttime diapers. Defeated and frustrated to the point of exhaustion. We're all exhausted, and we still have a newborn baby who wakes us up multiple times a night to pee in the bed. In any case, if your child is normally a deep sleeper, this product will not work for them. If your child sleeps through most things, such as turning on the light in his room, hammering something in the house, flushing the toilet, vacuuming, or talking in the hallway, you may have a problem. The alarm will most likely not work because they will not be awakened.
