I'm not sure, but it was loud enough to jolt me awake from a deep slumber across the hall.
Because this alarm pad is meant to be used in bed, I doubt it would work if the person was wearing a diaper. The Wet- This could be accomplished by using a Stop3 alarm.
The pad measures approximately 34" by 36" in size.
The pad will sound an alarm if it gets wet.

My 9-year-old son is fed up with bedwetting and feels embarrassed about it. I looked into a much more expensive product, but I decided to give this one a shot first because it was so much less expensive. br>br>Even though my son isn't particularly sweaty, we had trouble with the alarm going off the first week due to a small amount of sweat. We had the same problem when I put the mat under the fitted sheet. Since the alarm went off three or more times a night, we were both frustrated and exhausted. When we tried one more thing, I was nearly ready to give up and buy the more expensive one. I covered the fitted sheet and mat with an extra flat sheet. I hoped that even though it was an extra layer against sweat, it would still sound the alarm in the event of an accident. It was a huge success! We're both sleeping better, and after a particularly difficult first week, we're now two weeks in and have gone two nights without a leak! br>br>It took some creative problem-solving, but this system works and costs a fraction of what similar systems do!.
It does exactly what it claims. I've purchased two Wet Detective products and am pleased with both. The "clip to the underwear" style alarm was the other item I purchased. After trying unsuccessfully for several years to train my older son to wake up to go, it cured his bedwetting problem in just a few weeks. My youngest son, on the other hand, is allergic to the clip-on alarm, so we purchased this pad-style alarm. To be honest, the sensor on the pad is almost too sensitive; it makes a noise even if my son only sweats a little while sleeping. We've been using it for over a month, and my son is still wetting the bed nearly every night. But I can't say I blame the product. It is, without a doubt, a powerful tool. It simply does not appear to be the best option for my child (every child is unique!). ) I still think it's a good choice for parents.
I had high expectations for this product because my child wets the bed on a regular basis. Every night, at least twice. We've pretty much tried everything there is to try. He soaked the pad on the first night we used it. Nothing was absorbed by the pad. When I sat him up to change the pad, he was literally laying in a puddle of urine, with urine dripping down his back. Despite my best efforts, I accidentally peed on the floor while changing the pad. That's inconvenient, but it's not a problem for me. br>I gave this product one star because one of the snaps connecting the alarm to the sensor pad broke the first time I removed them. THE VERY FIRST TIME I APPLIED IT! I was able to reassemble it for one more use before it completely broke. For a few uses, I taped the piece back to the connector, but it was only a matter of time before it stopped working altogether. br>I'm at a loss for words. It was a complete squandering of funds.
My 11-year-old was unable to use the other clip-on style sensors because he would remove them while sleeping. He also prefers not to sleep in his pajamas, so this pad was ideal for him. After years of frustration, he is now on his 12th night of dryness in a row after only 6 weeks!.
This is the set to get because it comes with two, which is necessary so you can swap out the wet one in the middle of the night. You also have a back-up in case you forget to wash a wet one. It is simple to wash and dries. Sound that can be turned up or down. I wouldn't spend the extra money on a more expensive one. This is exactly what I needed.
We've only had three accidents since then, and it's been two weeks since we've had one. br>However, if your child is anything like mine, make sure he or she has adequate cooling because even a small amount of sweat will trigger the alarm. br>Aside from that, cleanup is a breeze; simply toss it in the washing machine. Unfold the mat, snap the wires (they snap on like a button on a pair of pants), slide it under the sheet, hook it to the alarm, and turn it on (the alarm will require batteries).
The good: It completed the task at hand. My daughter awoke when the alarm went off, and after about a week, she began to wake up on her own. The disadvantages: br>br> When we removed the sensor from the pad to wash it after about two weeks, the sensor ripped off, rendering it useless. br>br>The unattractive: I thought it was a fluke, so I bought a second one. One of the sensors ripped after only one use this time. br>br>I spent a lot of money on two of these, and neither of them are usable after only a few weeks. It was a huge let down.
This was purchased for my grandson, who has a habit of wetting the bed. I had high expectations for this alarm clock and pad. Unfortunately, the alarm is not loud enough to quickly awaken him. The pads are machine washable, but the snap placement on each is different. One has snaps on one edge, allowing the wire to sit close to the mattress's edge, while the other has snaps on the opposite edge, allowing the wire to sit deeper into the mattress. The snaps are flimsy and small. After the first use, one of the snaps became loose. The quality is extremely poor. I'm not going to buy it again. I would have returned this item if I hadn't missed the return deadline.
