Having the extra tones in the model we selected was because we did not want to get used to hearing the same tone and want our child to wake up as soon as she became used to It was our idea to use different tones so that she would get up and wake up more comfortably. It worked well, I can tell you that. It took two weeks of this for her not to wet the bed anymore. She had tried learning how to wake herself for years before.

My 9 year old still wets the bed so I bought this for her. There is no manual, so I put it to use myself. The alarm is quite loud, so it even woke my dead-end spouse.
