Questions & Answers
When you buy an alarm, it comes with one sensor that plugs into the alarm box. This sensor is a replacement part. Because the sensors can break, they are sold separately.
Using only hot tap water is always a good idea. Silicone is used to make the sensor. Wipes aren't required. Place for 30 seconds under running water, shake off excess water, and pat dry. It's all set to go.
That's correct. The Chummie Elite and Chummie Premium models are compatible with the Chummie sensor.
It's been a while, but I believe the warranty period was stated in the instruction manual that came with the package. From my hazy memory, it could have been 90 days. I made a phone call to the company and was immediately connected with a replacement. Note that, based on my experience with the product, do not touch the black part of the sensor, wash/rinse the sensor with water, especially after a child has an accident (pad dry with a dry cloth), and so on; otherwise, the sensor may beep. Acts as if he is unemployed. I hope this information is also beneficial.

The replacement alarms I bought four years ago still work, but new ones I buy break after a few days or weeks of use (they alarm for no apparent reason)! Customer service has been excellent, and replacements have been sent, but it is extremely inconvenient. The previous design has stood the test of time and continues to function. It appears that the extra alarms I bought to make changing clothes in the middle of the night easier are somehow inferior. What are the chances that I'll buy three of them in a row that are all defective?.
Wetting alarm was my last resort after all other options had failed. I bought a backup sensor in case something unexpected happened and I needed it. Actually, I didn't require it. The first sensor that came with the Chummie alarm functioned perfectly. My son stopped bed-wetting because I followed all of the cleaning and upkeep instructions. In a month's time, I'll be wet. The sensor is simple to clean with water and dry with a cotton towel. It only takes a minute and a half. Every drop of urine would be detected, and my son would be notified. A fantastic item.
Bought as a backup in the middle of the night to put on my son right away so he wouldn't have to wait for the other to be washed and dried. After he's gone back to bed, I do it. The wisest decision I've ever made.
It was a complete waste of time; it only worked for about 6 weeks before giving up. The Chummie's came with one that lasted about 5 months before it simply stopped working.
It's not the whole package, and it's not exactly what I was hoping for.
It's the same one that's included with the alarm system. It performs exactly as it should.
Why is this? I have no idea. This sensor wasn't quite as sensitive as the original for some reason, but it improved after a few uses. I'm not sure why it works, but we're grateful it does.
We've discovered that if our son wakes up wet and alarming, if we use the same pad for the rest of the night, we'll get false alarms. drying. After his first nighttime accident, his bladder emptying improved, and after a few weeks, he didn't need a chummie at all, so we took it off if he went to the bathroom on his own or if he was alarmed. br>br>With our special needs child, we are now attempting the chummie during the day. Switch the pads around.
