Product Description

50% Silicone sensor, 50 Plastic alarm
Imported from the United States or Made in the United States
UNIQUE ALARM TECHNOLOGY - Designed for deep sleepers; Unlike single tone alarms, which may cause your child to become accustomed to one tone, Chummie offers 8 different selectable tones, volume control, vibration settings, and two bright lights to wake up deep sleepers.
ONE DROP DETECTION SENSOR - Only Chummie alarms use a soft, non-corrosive silicone sensor with a significantly larger urine detection area than traditional clip sensors found in other bedwetting alarms, ensuring that you never miss another bedwetting accident.
COMFORT, CONVENIENCE, AND VALUE - The IntelliFlex sensor conforms to the shape of the user for added comfort and does not poke like other sensors. In a matter of seconds, the sensor can be dry and reused. Use the Chummie Comfy-Armband to improve your comfort.
AWARD-WINNING BEDWETTING SYSTEM - Chummie alarms are microprocessor-controlled and feature advanced safety algorithms. Chummie alarms have received numerous awards and are frequently recommended by pediatric urologists as the first line of bedwetting treatment.

Questions & Answers

Is the alarm loud enough for your child and caregiver to hear in the middle of the night to help with nighttime potty trips?

We had to get out our nursery monitor again so we could hear it go off and rush in to wake him up because it's loud, but deep sleepers don't hear it at first. Our son started waking up on his own after only a few weeks of brain training to wake up to the noise.

Even if my child is completely dry, the alarm goes off. I'm putting it where I'm supposed to put it. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had the same thought, but then I noticed that the dry underwear had a small drop on it right where the chummie had been. The alarm went off, saving the bed from becoming completely soaked. Sure, I had to get up and change his underwear, but when I told him to go potty, he meant it. I had hoped to use the chummie for something like this. It instills fear in them by sounding an alarm when the temperature drops below a certain level. My son had been dry for nearly two weeks at this point. It was only a couple of times a week before that. When we first got it, chummie, it went off every night, but I never had a mess to clean up; at most, I had a damp spot in my underwear to deal with. I told my son that he should be proud of himself because he had to change his pajamas and sheets almost every night before this. He was in such a deep slumber. This is why you require the chummie; it is effective!

Is it possible to wear this at night with a pullover? Or is it necessary to wear dry underwear for the sensor to detect moisture?

Make sure your underwear is dry. We found that putting on one pair of underwear, then taping the sensor in place, and then putting another pair of underwear on top of that worked well for us. After an incident during the night, he would rotate the second set to the inside because it rarely got wet.

When my daughter got up to use the bathroom and removed the sensor jack (the wire) from the unit to remove her underwear, the alarm went off. Is this normal?

Yes. The only minor disadvantage is that pressure on the pad can sometimes cause it to activate. When you've finished setting up the unit, you're ready to go. It will sound the alarm if you unplug it or apply excessive pressure to the pad. (False alarm) When this happens, simply reset the Chummie (top button) and you're good to go.

It was a huge success, and it's a fantastic product for deep sleepers
5/5

My son, who is twelve years old, has trouble sleeping deeply. He "wets the bed nearly every night," YES. I'm not proud of it, but I'm fed up with having to buy new mattress pads and doing laundry. He is the only one of my three children who has this issue. We've tried everything and haven't been able to find anything that works. He avoids sleepovers because he doesn't want his friends to find out that he wets the bed. My son's self-esteem was eroding, so I took him to a pediatric urologist, who recommended an alarm but not one in particular. I began my research and sought advice from others. Then one of my coworkers said something to me that I didn't understand. A coworker suggested that I purchase the Chummie Bedwetting Alarm. For my son, this was the one and only alarm I purchased. It performs admirably, and my only regret is that I did not purchase it sooner. My son did exactly what was asked of him. He's been using Chummie for nearly four weeks now. We had one incident the first week, three incidents the second week, and no incidents the third and fourth weeks. My son, as well as myself, are overjoyed. We saw a significant reduction in wet nights in just two weeks after using this product. He's been using this alarm for over 5 weeks, and he wakes up every day dry. We're ecstatic to have given it a shot.

Our lives have been altered by this small device
5/5

It was a long and arduous process, but it paid off in the end. My six-year-old stopped wetting his bed in under two weeks. It takes parental commitment and assistance. We tried waking our son up, forcing him not to drink for several hours before going to bed, and forcing him to urinate right before bed. Nothing worked, and no diaper, even when supplemented, could keep up with his output. Every day, we had to change his blanket, sheets, and mattress pad. When our pediatrician suggested a bed wetting alarm, we were at the end of our rope. I went straight to Amazon to look for it. This had excellent reviews and a reasonable price. We had to move our son into our room because he shares a room with two brothers, and we didn't want to wake them up in the middle of the night. Even if my deep-sleeping son didn't wake up right away, the alarm was enough to wake my wife and me up. We were able to quickly get him out of the cot we had set up in our room. There was a lot of urine in his underwear the first couple of times (we started with a diaper outside of his underwear so we wouldn't have to keep changing his sheets and mattress pad). We stopped putting the diaper on the outside after a few days because his underwear was nearly dry, and I could hear him getting up early in the morning to go to the bathroom on his own. He stayed dry when he said he wanted to try sleeping without an alarm clock. He was sleeping through the night within two weeks, and he didn't even need to get up early in the morning to use the restroom. We went back to the alarm for a couple of nights after a backslide night, but he's been fine since. br>br>I am extremely proud of my child, as is he. When he felt ready and asked to return to his room with his brothers, it was a huge deal for him. After a couple of years of attempting to make this happen, it's truly amazing. I would recommend keeping the child close enough to you at first so that you can assist them in waking up at night. Although it is unpleasant for you, the end result is well worth the effort.

This was exactly what we needed! We'd been trying for a year and a half to get our 7-year-old daughter to stop peeing in her bed
5/5

She couldn't figure it out because she is such a difficult sleeper. We limited drinks before bed, woke her up a few hours after bedtime to have her go, and even used a sticker chart because she was almost never dry at night and was becoming frustrated. We decided to give it a shot because we were running out of options. So, here's what I'm going to tell you: This is EXTREMELY VALUE FOR MONEY. The alarm went off every night for the first three weeks, sometimes twice. I expected this to be yet another thing we tried that failed, but we stuck with it because the directions said it could take up to 12 weeks. It's as if something magical happened after the third week! She didn't wet the bed again, and she hasn't since! After two weeks of dry nights, we followed the directions and turned off the alarm. We haven't had any rainy nights in over three months! I'm overjoyed that we purchased this item!.
