The procedure is effective. This method worked for one of my boys who was still wetting the bed at the age of eight. We had some sleepless nights at the start of the process, but in less than two months, he was sleeping soundly! He hasn't wet the bed since that time, almost two years ago. I bought this alarm for my youngest child, but I will have to return it. The alarm (in my opinion) sounds like a fire alarm, and there is no way to adjust the volume. The arm band does not stay firmly against the arm, and both of the wires (which connect to the underwear) failed within a week. I think it's a great method, but not for this particular unit.
Yes, the alarm has a switch; turn it to the middle to turn it off, and both sides to change the modes. My 7 yr. When it vibrates in the middle of the night, my 12-year-old son can easily do it. I'm happy to report that after a few weeks, he no longer requires the alram and can stand up on his own!
A new one was sent to me. After reading my review/question, the company contacted me by email.
This one can vibrate or sound and vibrate at the same time.

The alarm system is extremely effective. We considered much more expensive alarms, but this one won out because it had both an alarm and a vibration, and it could be worn on our son's arm rather than on his shirt because he sleeps shirtless. He used to wet the bed every night before this alarm. He was seven years old at the time, and he was dressed in a pullover. Every night, I do push-ups and sleep on a pee pad. We washed sheets and quilts at least once a week, even with those aids. This alarm hasn't entirely saved us, but we've been using it for a few months now, and as long as we wake him up before 11 a. m. , we're good. He's been waking up dry in the morning for one last time at 30/midnight. The alarm will sound as soon as he wets if we don't catch him before he wets. It doesn't always wake him up, but if we're still awake, it wakes us up in our room or downstairs. Because the alarm is so loud, we've figured out what he can sleep through. It's no surprise that he didn't wake up by himself. br>br>It's worth noting that he sleeps with the sensor attached to his underwear and a pull-cord attached to his wrist. up over. One of the sensors stopped working after about a month. It wasn't a big deal because there were two of us, but I was concerned that one of us would leave. When I contacted the company, they immediately offered to replace it. I took them up on their offer, and within a few days, I had a brand new alarm system and sensors. br>br>I'm glad we went for it and got this. He's gaining confidence, and the amount of laundry he's doing has decreased dramatically. I used to wonder if he'd ever wear underwear at night, but now I'm starting to see the light!.
The alarm function is excellent. It has a sound AND vibrate option, as well as a vibration only option. Moisture sensitivity is extremely high. even if our son is simply hot and sweaty It has made a significant difference in his ability to stop wetting the bed. However, I only gave it two stars because it isn't particularly long-lasting. The part that wraps around your arm is very sturdy, but the end that hooks onto your underwear is a little flimsy. After less than a month of use, the first one broke. When I asked if it could be replaced, however, the company was extremely accommodating. They offered to refund or replace the item if it was defective. For the past week and a half, we've been on the second one. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. We're hoping this one lasts until our son no longer requires it.
The fact that it is rechargeable appeals to me greatly. I used to have a wet stop alarm that required replacing batteries. It came with an additional attachment that allows you to change the sensor at any time during the night if you prefer. I simply put my child in a pair of heavy underwear. Put a pull up over the sensor and attach it. It's simple to clean up in the middle of the night as many times as you'd like. It's best to sleep near your child to assist them in waking up when the alarm goes off. I prefer this to a safety pen or a magnet because of the band feature. My favorite part is the switch, which is easy to turn on/off, buzz or alarm. Our wet stop had a button that was difficult to understand. This alarm's features are exactly what I was looking for.
I bought this because my 6-year-old son wets his bed every night, usually from his pull-ups, despite the fact that we have two mattress protectors and do laundry daily. This is extremely aggravating. I examined the mattress. I was looking for a wetting alarm on Amazon when I came across this. Then there was a night when it was completely dry. He only wet the bed once in the following six nights. He's gone nine nights in a row without rain since then. Dry as a bone. "Is he awake?" I inquired as I awoke from my slumber. I was under the impression that I had slept too much. Our issue is one of sensitivity. Our son is prone to excessive sweating, which has resulted in a number of problems. The sensitivity has been adjusted. There isn't anything to be concerned about. This product receives five stars.
The clip was simple to connect, but I couldn't connect the arm band because there were no clear instructions on how to assemble and adjust it. I couldn't connect it to my child without the band, so I couldn't use it. I attempted to knot it, but it unraveled. br>br>Perhaps it was a case of user error, but it was too much trouble for me to try again.
My 5-year-old has been fully potty trained for two years, but she still has trouble waking up in the middle of the night to go potty. We tried everything to get her back on track, but in the end, we decided that she should just wear pull-ups at night. My grandmother told me about products like this, which I had never heard of before, so I went online and looked for it. I explained what it was and why it was important to her, and she was ecstatic to learn that she could do it and no longer have to wear pull-ups like her younger sister. I was worried that we'd use it incorrectly or that it wouldn't work; the first three nights, there were no accidents (I woke her up at random to have her go potty); the last two nights, she had accidents, but we followed the same bedtime routine; but she's still so determined and excited. It's also rechargeable, which I didn't realize until now!.
This product appeals to me because my daughter is a restless sleeper. It makes a loud noise and vibrates as well. Despite all of this, my child is a deep sleeper who has slept through the alarm the first couple of times it has been used. She gets used to it after a while and eventually wakes up. We're hoping that when the alarm goes off, she'll wake up right away and be able to control her urine flow. We'll keep an eye on how this pans out for us. The arm strap is the only flaw I see; it's very loose and slips off at times. Although there is no volume control, I believe it is loud enough for the majority of people. It can be heard in our bedroom, which is directly across the hall from hers.
