I cut them in half and stick them on the SIDE of the shoes near the heel's very end. This keeps my heels from falling out of my shoes. I started peeling almost right away! These heel pads were used in two pairs of shoes (for a total of four pads). The pads are made of a thin, silky-like material. The top layer (that touches your foot) is a feeling layer of fabric, the middle layer is foam, and the bottom layer is a sheet of double-sided foam. For the bottom layer, use double-sided sticky tape. Each pair of shoes began to peel away from the middle foam layer as the top layer (the silky layer) began to peel away. The loose top layer fabric bunched up as a result, causing discomfort and blisters where it rubbed against my foot. It also caused the middle foam layer to crumble, resulting in more uncomfortable and blister-causing bumps. causing. br>br>The worst part was trying to get rid of what was left of the broken-down car. The middle layer of my heel pads ripped away from the bottom sticky layer of my shoes. So now the sticky tape layer is stuck inside my shoes, with no padding and nothing but sticky gunk that sticks to my foot, traps lint, and is generally icky and uncomfortable.

They stick better than any other brand I've tried. And I say somewhat large because I wear a size 5 shoe, which means my heel is smaller than most, sticking up just a smidgeon, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Because the shoes I'm wearing with them are jeans-style, the tiny bit that shows above the heel cup is hidden. If I didn't have the shoes, I wouldn't be able to wear them all day!.

These didn't do a good job of assisting me. The middle is thinner, making it easier to mold to the shoes, but the achilles receives no support or cushioning. Even with these on, my ankles bled.

Overall, a good product, but it could be better if the adhesion was stronger. I wear a pair of shoes that have been specially designed for me. When I put on my shoes, the horn still peels up on the side a little. It's pretty much in place after a month of use and won't move except slightly on the corners. However, it is a good deal. There should be a lot of them in case any of them break.
