I eventually came across a "size chart" on the internet and followed it. The only information I could find was that small is 2", medium is 2 1/2", and large is 3".br>I am a woman's sz. I'm a size 9 and ordered a medium, which I'm pleased with. I wish I could remember where I left the table. There is one, and I believe that most men's shoes would require a large insert.
I wear orthotics for arch support, which I did not get from a doctor. Because my leg is 1 1/2 inches shorter due to hip replacement, I wear two of these heel lifts in my shoe. They seem to complement each other well, in my opinion. Best
My Grandson is a Men's 7 and the Medium fit him well.
These are placed inside your shoes. They aren't likely to help worn-out heels, in my opinion.

My surgeon, despite being pleasant, refused to acknowledge the length discrepancy, and as a result, the hip did not heal properly for almost a year. I ignored his advice and had my heel lifts about 5 months after the surgery, and I immediately noticed a reduction in pain. What's more important is that a difference in leg length can affect one's back, and my back was already hurting from the lack of balance! I bought several four-packs and glued them to all of my favorite sandals because I couldn't live without them! A combination of gorilla glue and a heavy chair on the shoe overnight works wonders. I'm going to go out and buy more heel lifts to put in any new sandals I get!.
I'm glad I went ahead and bought the lifts. One of my legs is only a quarter inch shorter than the other - Without a lift in place, it's just enough to cause hip and back pain. These lifts were simple to adjust to my desired height and fit perfectly inside my shoes. I'm a size 9 and they're wide enough to keep me comfortably in place. Other lifts shuffled around a bit for me in the past. I do use velcro tape on the inside of my shoe and on the lift to keep them in place. This also ensures that I don't forget to change my lift into the shoes I'll be wearing for the day. (Stepping on that velcro isn't very pleasant!) I can put them in multiple pairs of shoes and rotate them as I wear different ones because I only need one lift. The lifts I was getting from my chiropractor weren't nearly as good and cost twice as much. br>br>My only criticism is that it is difficult to determine the height of the lift. There are three sections in total, two of which can be removed. It would be easier to find the right height if they had something on the heal that indicated the width of each section.
I had to use two layers because using the entire lift would have been too much. I've tried all of Walmart's over-the-counter solutions (I live in a small town) but nothing has worked for my size 9 Dr. Scholl's women's sneakers from Walmart. I went to a podiatrist, who suggested that I cut out pieces of craft felt and layer them in my shoe, starting with one layer and adding layers until I got relief. He'd order custom orthotics once I figured out the right number of layers. Cutting felt for this is wasteful and not the best way to get relief, so I wish he would have had these in the office for me to buy. I did cut two layers of felt and stuff them into my shoe, where they bunched up and slid around. Baloney. Amazon is here to help!.
I bought my first set of lifts a few months ago and am getting ready to re-purchase them. order. These lifts are an important part of my post-total knee replacement recovery. Following surgery, I discovered that the leg with the new knee is nearly two inches longer than the other (which is also in need of replacement). As you can imagine, when I was ready to put on my regular walking shoes, I had a lot of trouble walking, and my height would fluctuate from 5'7" to 5'9" and vice versa as I took each step. This leg length disparity began to cause a slew of anatomical issues, including increased Physical Therapy challenges. These lifts were discovered with the assistance of my therapist. I strongly advise you to purchase them. BTW - I use the medium sized lifts and wear a size 10 men's shoe with a regular width.
Due to surgery, I require heel lifts in both of my shoes. These lifts are nearly identical to the ones I bought from a physical therapist for around three times the price. They work well, and because of the low price, I can have one for each pair of shoes and not have to switch between them. The larger ones fit into most of my athletic shoes, sandals, and other footwear, while the smaller ones fit into my dress shoes. They give you the extra lift you need without being obtrusive or "clunky. ".
These products come highly recommended. Because one of my legs is shorter than the other, I was experiencing back pain and tingling sensations on that side; however, when I wear the lift, I don't notice any difference; in fact, I have much less back pain and no tingling. We had extremely hot weather for a couple of weeks and were unable to use the lifts because we were wearing sandals and flipflops. The tingling returned, and the back pains got worse. The tingling went away completely when I returned to closed shoes and lifts, and the back pain was significantly reduced. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product.
This product is adequate for its purpose and is pleasant to use. My low rating is based on how well it solved my problem rather than the product itself. After purchasing these, I discovered that the materials are very soft, but that when weight is applied to the lift, the height is lost. I had to have custom hard heel lifts made locally to maintain the 1/2" height discrepancies I had. They are tougher and do not yield to the body's weight. If you're looking for a true adjustment to leg discrepancy, this is something to keep in mind.
