They seem to be for a medium foot width. The only thing is that I have a 13 XXW foot and these give me much more comfort. The soles of these shoes are relatively flexible and can be trimmed if your feet are very narrow. The shoes are extremely comfortable and by the time I was five minutes into it, I didn't even notice they were there. There is only one foot for which I need it. Two cushions are provided on the left and two on the right. The right one on the left has worked for me. These have proven to be very helpful to relieve the pain associated with hammer toes.
Both the second and third toes can be looped into this. It will cushion the smallest toe if you loop it onto the third (middle)

Despite that this is your fourth toe, you wear it on the third toe and the cushion supports your fourth toe. I finally figured out that this is worn on the third toe and the cushion supports your fourth toe.

It's a great relief to hear that! I have had increasing pain from hammertoes since I was a child For instance, the fourth toe, which overlaps the third, is folded under the fourth. For the sake of avoiding toe pain, I have hired helpers to shop for me. Shoes and slippers only need to be fleece lined. The night before last, I was awake with stabbing pains all night long.
