Minor burns are soothed well with this soothing cream
4/5

As a result, I am ordering 2 of these 4" x 4" hydrogel burn dressings, each wrapped separately to prevent the unused dressing from drying after the package has been It's alright to cut the blankets to smaller sizes if needed, just remember to place the unused portions in an air tight zip-lock bag Put your clothes in a Ziploc bag or similar to prevent them from drying out. Hence, these dressings or medical foams usually contain at least 90% purified water and a small amount of other substances such as propylene glycol or other alcohol that total no more than 5%. As of right now, propylene glycol is deemed "generally safe" for use in food by the FDA, which is a good development. In order to prevent infection and contamination, these non-sterile dressings are sterile, but they should be thoroughly cleaned before being applied to burns Put the adhesive dressing on gently and let it dry. To hold the medical foam burn dressing in place, I recommend using a stretch gauze or similar material. I just wanted to suggest that if you have an aloe vera plant in your backyard, you can use the core or the gelatin material of this plant to help moisturize the burn and keep these dressings moist, thereby allowing them to You should change these dressings daily, even though they are recommended. To treat minor burns, these supplies are very useful and essential to have in your first aid kit. Burn or pain is relieved (literally) by using it. A very soothing experience!.

The item needs to be secured in place with additional items
4/5

As I can only open one of the two items in the order for review, I am unable to review one of them. As I noted above, the advertisement on Amazon says it helps to soothe and cool burns while sealing out contamination. There are the following instructions on the package The product "helps prevent contamination". The dressing system DOES NOT really prevent contamination or seal out any wounds if it is used without additional bandages. On the package it also states that the dressings are "non-adherent," and on the rear of the package (see photo) it says Glue a bandage around the wound if necessary. So in plain English, the dressings do not adhere themselves, they just sit in place and fall off if not secured by something else. As long as you want the dressing to stay in place, and absolutely, you should, you will need to secure it with your separate bandage, tape, conban, etc. You cannot prevent contamination without some kind of bandage. In itself, this isn't necessarily a negative, but it does need to be understood that the dressing isn't going to stay in place or provide any degree of protection on its own. Additionally, I note that these items, which I received in the latter half of December 2020, have an expiration date of "2025-" It'll be 12 years from now, so I imagine it will be December 5 years of shelf life is nice, longer than similar products. Please excuse my neutrality on this recommendation.

This is one to be kept in The first aid kit should include one of these
4/5

Keeping fire extinguishers in the kitchen, basement, and garage is a good practice for me. What do I want to do with Not at all. But it's just smart to have certain things in the house in case of an The burn care pads are designed for that purpose. It's not the first time I've heard of hydrogel burn dressings (my good friend was a forensic arson investigator, and he always kept them in the In light of this knowledge, every household should have at least one hydrogel burn dressing in the kitchen, where fires and hot items can be found most frequently. Hopefully, it will never be needed, but it is readily accessible in case it is. One pack goes into my first aid kit, and the other goes into my bag. There are plenty of places to get bbq, especially during summer. When the weather is warmer, more activities happen, and accidents and mishaps are more likely to occur. Therefore, it would be smart to keep a first aid kit well-stocked. In addition, having a burn care dressing package is a good idea during barbeque season. I think it is a sensible investment at $8 for two hydrogel dressing packages that have decent size dimensions, and well worth the money. This product gets a solid 4 out of 5 stars based on our evaluation. It gets a 25-star rating and a recommendation of high level.

A burn actually gets cooler by pulling heat away from it
5/5

The Hydrogel Burn Pads from Burn Care pull heat from a burn, preventing it from getting worse. There are 2 burned pads in each package, with their own seal. This is a 4" x 4" pad impregnated with gel that is 4" x 4" in size. If you want to use these pads, you must either cover them with an adhesive pad or use strips of bandage tape to attach them to covered the Burn Care pad with a large pad in the same manner as this. These pads are actually pretty soothing and seem to keep the pain at bay pretty If the burn is small, you can also cut it with clean scissors. Then just put the remaining burn pad in a zip lock baggie and save it. You don't have to worry about the pads sticking to your burn when you remove them later on.

Adding this to your first aid kit is a great idea
5/5

It is a hazardous activity to cook, if you are like us. In spite of being armed with some of the best tools, the sharpest knives, and the best oven mitts, we tend to burn or cut ourselves about every other week. It is important to wear gloves that are resistant. Let's just say we're clumsy because of that! The burn care kit comes packaged in two sealed foil packets that measure 4 x 4 inches. There were no problems at all Unlike most other hydrogel tubes, these tubes are very durable, and there is little chance of a leak or Dressings are sterile and should be applied directly to burns. You will need either a gauze roll or tape to keep them attached to the burns. I love it for intermittent burns where an ice cube isn't large enough to soothe the burn.

When you need it, this is a good thing to have Don't let anything stop you! Purchasing items like this is something you should do in hopes that they will never be needed
5/5

Despite this, I am comforted by my first aid kits (one in each home), in which I keep burn care equipment. We have used our kit to treat burns after our hosts left hot pots around the house and Antifa came in! While it does come with burn gel, we have only used it for minor burns (after Antifa came into the house and left hot pots all over! This can be cut down to a smaller size if you need to. The gauze or tape that I have in my kit should hold them on, but you will need to assemble them yourself.
If I use them, I will update this review. I hope not to have to use them, but if I do, I will update it.
