I have been using it for two weeks to treat a slow-healing wound after surgery. It is amazing how well this patch works. The silicone patch is to place over the wound ointment to add healing properties. My opinion is that it works for drawing attention to the issue through a small auction. Blood is essential to your healing process. It appears to work in that manner to me. I am not exactly sure how it works but I imagine it to work In just 4 days I have witnessed a very significant improvement in my healing from wearing this patch. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's made in It's just you never know what you are going to get from China, so I'm not prejudiced. It would be great if the product were made by #Pfizer or a US company.

I love it! You must be very careful when ordering Allevyn, as sizes, shapes, cuts, thickness, and most importantly stickiness vary greatly, and even wound clinics routinely do not have the right product. I once had a box of the wrong stuff delivered to me. Perhaps a thicker pad could have helped the padded "island" stay in place. The next time I buy, I will.
