A total of 6x6 inches is made up by the center part, which measures 4"x4" and the sticky part, which measures 4"x4". The wound around my knee replacement is infected, but because of Coronavirus, it is impossible for me to go to the hospital. My colleagues and I both work as nurses in home health care. I had these initially ordered by my nurses, who visit me once a week. When Covid19 started around the time I was supposed to go to my local hospital's wound care center, I changed my mind and made an appointment at my local hospital's wound care center instead. It never occurred to me that Amazon would have the same dressings that Medical Supply Centers have, and I am sure they are much cheaper Because I have a lot of drainage and would have to change the dressing often, I place a bunch of 4"x4" gauze squares over the wound area, then put the dressing over that, so I am able to go for longer periods The only time you will need to do that is if your house has very little drainage. This bandage remains in place on the body and easily comes off without tearing There could sometimes be an itchy sensation where the adhesive part is located on the skin. It is important that your doctor is notified if that occurs. Nursing has given me plenty of experience when it comes to dressings and I would definitely give these an A+!.
I liked the size and absorption of the pad as a whole. An allergic reaction was provoked by the adhesive, however. It has been more than 1 week since I last used this product, and I still have a huge red mark on my skin where the glue part is located.
As for Mepilex, I had used it for six inch by six inch The only problem is that they're Therefore, I decided to order these on a whim to see how they would measure They work well as a substitute for me! This is especially true It is easy for me to wear them throughout the day. According to my experience and observations, this is like Mepilex except for a few things The wound will absorb a lot more (this works best if the This model offers slightly more padding and cushion Those that are water resistant (which means they do not soak through as quickly when you shower). I must note As soon as you show, either bandage needs to be changed as they will become saturated.
I had ordered them expecting them to be larger, but they were actually smaller. 1 x 1 is the size of the dressing pad.
4" x 4" (Pack of 15) sterile bordered gauze is the best item I could find for my elderly mother because she has very, very thin skin and is extremely sensitive to adhesives. Her home health nurse used these dressings on her because they are adhering and come off smoothly without tearing the skin as other bandages can. My mom's skin was not aggravated by them, so I think they are kind of expensive but they make it easy to take care of her wounds.
As a result of a heating pad, my husband ended up suffering a second degree burn on his back. When the wound healed, it was fairly large, but got smaller and smaller as it healed. When the burn area got smaller, the Wound Center would order them from Amazon to use when the burn area was smaller. This Bonded gauze worked without any sensitivity issues as he has a sensitive reaction to some of the tapes that we use in order to adhere regular gauze. As a golfer, he found this tape would not stay on for an entire round of golf we added The convenience and utility of this product beats gauze and tape hands down. A little more cost is well worth it since you won't get.
There is no truth to the claim made by this product. In the real world, adhesives usually last just a few hours, not as many days as claimed on the product description. In reality, the water-resistance feature isn't real. As soon as water touched one corner of the dressing, the adhesive stopped working and would not adhere again, so my wound became exposed It feels like I have been robbed by this product, so don't waste your money on it.
I haven't touched it, so I'm judging it on the price, shipping speed, and condition only. In order to make a home made first aid kit, I purchased this product. When I was searching for it, it seemed to fit the bill and the review seemed positive. The package arrived in good condition and on time without damage. For a purchase that was meant for a just in case basis, the price wasn't that bad. It gets a 4 star rating from me even though I have not personally tried out the product myself. My rating of 5 stars is not because it is lousy or otherwise, I just never got to use it so I cannot give a 5 star rating until I've tried it and I'm blown away by how good.
