Because I have been a type 1 diabetic for 24 years, I wanted to try this instead of my expensive glucose meters, which are typically accurate but inaccurate. With all three devices- a freestyle, an one touch, and a one touch pro- I tested my body's sugar levels but none were perfect There was a discrepancy of 60 digits with this one. A few hours later, I repeated my test and got the same results. 63 digits were off from what it was supposed to be. My personal opinion is that this machine shouldn't be trusted. I calibrate my other two devices with whatever device my endocrinologist's office uses in order to ensure my glucose numbers are consistent with his office results. I also take my blood glucose testers with me to the doctor's office to ensure that results are comparable. It would be nice if others were as lucky!.
