Questions & Answers
Alcohol may cause the cannula to "harden" as a result of its interaction with it. I would simply wash the item in warm soapy water and replace it on a regular basis.
The tubing is connected to the cannulas. There are five cannulas in the pack of five. I hope this information is useful to you.
The two small tubes that go into the nostril each measure about 1/2 inch in length.
The cost is for a five-bag set. They are extremely relaxing.

It doesn't twist up and irritate her skin in any way. Without a doubt, I will make another purchase. For nearly two years, my grandmother has been on oxygen 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Her nose has always been irritated by the cannula, resulting in bleeds and rashes during the dry seasons. I regret not ordering these for her sooner. When she put one on, she noticed a significant difference right away. Her nose is no longer irritated after she's been using it for a little over a week. The tubes that rest against her cheeks are also extremely soft, which is an added bonus. She no longer has red marks on her face as a result of the tubes rubbing against each other throughout the day. Also more comfortable is the area of tubing under her chin. It doesn't twist up and irritate her skin in any way. Overall, these are something I would recommend to anyone who uses oxygen. Compared to the brand provided by her oxygen provider, these tubes are much more comfortable for my grandmother. I regret not ordering these for her two years ago! I'll be ordering again in the near future.
I'm a novice when it comes to nasal cannulas. I was sent home on constant oxygen with a nasal cannula after a more than week-long stay in the hospital for severe pneumonia. I realized I needed to get more cannuals (cleaning the beasts appears to be beyond my current skill level). ) I discovered these on Amazon, which had the same fit and length as the Salter 1600 I had been using. br>br>I placed an order and received them the next day (yes, I ordered five), but be sure to order from the more reputable sellers here with higher ratings, even if the price is higher. )br>br>I detected a chemical odor that quickly dissipated. Everything appeared to be in working order and connected well. The product is of good quality and has a pleasant feel to it. However, after about a half-hour, I began to feel a pressure or rubbing high inside one of my nostrils. It became unbearable after an hour, so I switched back to my Salter. br>br>When I switched back, I noticed a couple of minor details that had escaped my attention during my initial assessment of the product: first, the nostril tubes are longer than my other. Two, those tubes had a slightly wider horizontal spacing. br>br>I realized the issue was due to the physical characteristics of my nose – I simply don't have enough of it for this product. By going higher and wider into my nostril, the tubing had nowhere to go on me but nose tissue. While I have returned to my Salter, I would still recommend these to anyone with a longer or wider nose than mine; while that may seem like a silly statement, I believe those of us with smaller noses are aware of who we are.
It was still just over two hours and fifteen minutes (2:15). It took about two and a half weeks for it to harden. br>It has a very good "life" on it, with a 19-day "life" compared to the 7-day "life" on the 7-day "life" on the 7-day "life" on I've received 9 days from the Medicare provider's supplies. AND it's a lot more pleasant to work with! br>They have a slight "new car" smell to them, but it goes away after about 8 hours of use, according to my experience. br>I'll definitely buy these again, even though I might be able to get them for free through Medicare. It was well worth the money!! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Now that I've re-read it, I'd like to share it with you. I've bought these before. They're still the only cannulas I buy, and they're the only ones I buy on purpose. There are a lot of other options, after all. My only caveat is that I have a personal preference. I take them out of their plastic baggie a day or two before switching to a new one, so they can get rid of the "new plastic" smell. In the event that I forget, It's still not too obnoxious to use one fresh out of its baggie if you can't bear using the old one for another day. br>As I previously stated, it is merely a personal preference.
)br>These are so gentle on my face, unlike my old ones, which hurt my ears, creased my face, and were stiffly molded into a shape that twisted and tangled. br>The price was surprisingly low, and for 5 units, what could possibly go wrong? br>There have been complaints about the odor. For the most part, it goes away, and whatever remains after 24 hours doesn't bother me. Last but not least, shipping was a pleasant surprise; I could have held my breath!.
The odor is intolerable, and it will not be allowed to return! These were purchased for my husband, who requires oxygen 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When I first opened one of the packages, I was immediately overwhelmed by a strong plastic-like smell. the odor of a chemical I figured if they aired, it would be a good idea. The odor would dissipate if you were to leave the room. That was not the case. He needed a new one because his old one had developed a kink; As a result, we had to make an effort to put it to good use. His nose and throat became very sore, and he got a severe headache almost immediately. He was not going to be able to use it in any way. I've placed an order for the exact same item for the second time. We were happy with the first order, but I'm not willing to risk my husband's health again in the hopes of getting a good product, especially since we've never had this problem with any of his other cannulas. Because it is technically a "medical device," they will not accept returns. Be careful who you buy from.
I'd like to request that Wastmed also provide the 4' cannulas. I'm pleading with you to return some comfort to me by making these available in limited quantities. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude.
When I was forced to start using oxygen, I had a lot of trouble keeping the cannula in place, and the hard plastic irritated the inside of one of my nostrils. The situation has greatly improved thanks to the ultra soft cannula. I no longer have the scrape due to the softness. That's why I went with the product, but there's an added bonus: Individual prongs that go into the nostrils are slightly longer, allowing them to stay in place for longer. This item is a low-cost way to assist oxygen users in their daily lives.
