At rest, 5 L/Min 2- Breathing was difficult at 3 L/min active. coughing. She moved, but returned to normal, then struggled and had a particularly bad night. I double-checked the swivel connector, which appeared to be in good working order (despite the fact that I had moved it), but during the next lower oxygen incident, I could clearly hear a hiss coming from the hose leading back to the O2 concentrator. The hiss came and went as I turned the swivel. I measured and found a 25-year-old internal defect. 30% of O2 was lost.

This item should no longer be available on Amazon's medical store. The swivel fittings leak and cut off the oxygen supply; I couldn't figure out why I was gasping for air after joining two lines; I submerged the line at the joint and saw a large stream of bubbles; I replaced it with a straight fitting and the problem was solved; however, if someone used it while sleeping, it could be fatal. The swivel worked for three days before leaking at the point where the two halves of the swivel were connected.

If you're purchasing this lot, you already know what you're going to do with it. The rest, with the exception of those with moving parts, are standard and work well. The clear swivel connectors started to leak. I was unable to make use of them. I had to purchase the blue ones from a different company, but they are functional.

I noticed that the flow through my cannula was decreasing on a regular basis. When I looked into it, I discovered that when they tighten the swivel, the flow rate drops. By simply pushing in and out of the connector, I was able to change my flow rate. (br>All of the other connectors functioned as expected. ).

These were a great deal, and they were a lot less expensive and easier to deal with than dealing with a medical supply company. After he had to come out because I'd broken one, he insisted on only giving me one spare. Stock up and make sure you don't have to wait for someone else.
