I just used one of these to replace one of my hoses the other day. I had been using the 7-foot length on my Inogen One G3 for a while, but it kept snagging on things. The final straw came when I went up for communion and was seated in a pew at church. For that reason, I prefer the 4 foot length, as it allows the unit to sit on the floor and comfortably reach my nose. I believe it would be beneficial to you as well.
These were purchased for my G3 because the 7' size was snagging on things most of the time. This 4' long tubing has a much lower chance of doing so. I'm guessing the new G5's'spigot' is similar to my G3's and should work fine. Perhaps a note to Inogen will help you come up with a solution. I hope this information is useful.
I'm not sure if this is normal, but mine do it all the time, particularly the two smaller tubes that feed each nostril. I could go a long time between cannula replacements if it wasn't for this. Perhaps it's just a marketing strategy to boost sales.
It makes no difference whether you choose 4' or 7'. I use a 50-foot hose to reach all of the rooms in my house.

The end of the machine's connection Although the nose piece is of lower quality than the ones provided by the machine provider, it is fully functional and acceptable. According to the reviews, they taint the O2 with an unpleasant odor right out of the bag (no idea how long this will last in use). I was able to get rid of 90 of the odor by running hot water through it for a couple of minutes. removing it with compressed air (at a pressure of 20 psi); a couple ounces of 95% ethyl (grain) alcohol run through it It's time to blow it out once more. I draped it over a chair and let it sit there for the night. There was no odor after the second day of use.
My husband will not be able to breathe through this tube. The chemical odor is so bad that I've opened them all up and set them outside to air out, and they do smell better now, but when he connects them, the inside smells even worse, so his oxygen is terrible! I understand that they are inexpensive, but I demand a refund!.
This is the first time I've ever used a four-foot cannula. In the past, I've only used the 7' because that's what my oxygen provider provides. I prefer the 4' cannula because I don't have to deal with it getting tangled up in everything and I don't have to deal with it getting caught on everything. The 4' cannulas make getting around the house a lot easier. With my concentrator, I've only used 4' cannulas at home. I wouldn't recommend using the 4' cannula to pull around a tank like I do when I go to the doctor or other places. br>br>I like that the cannula is soft and doesn't irritate my nose, nor that the prongs are excessively long. It doesn't seem to be digging into my nostrils at all. br>br>As someone who has been on oxygen since 2014, I strongly suggest the 4' cannula for use in the home.
It stinks and you can't use it straight out of the package; however, soaking it in hot water with cleaner helped. The little band that holds it in place on the back of your head is too big around and too short, and it constantly loosens up. Although the material is softer, it is unusable due to the other two issues.
These were purchased for my mother, who despises the stiffer nose cannulas offered by Lincare and other suppliers. These are made of soft plastic, making them very comfortable for her to wear. The investment was well worth it.
Because I wear glasses, I have an eyeglass earpiece that goes over the top of my ears in addition to the cannula tubing. I used to wear those bulky, foam pieces to relieve ear pain until I discovered Westmed cannulas. Pain in the head. I've tried some of the other soft cannuals. They're softer than standard cannulas, but not quite as soft as the Westmed cannula. br>br>I'm also a fan of the 4 ft. length. I haven't moved more than three feet. if the end of a long tube becomes tangled with something The 4 ft is also appealing to me. With the help of my portable oxygen concentrator, I was able to go for a long time. My portable concentrator is designed to be worn on the back, so it has a 4 ft. I don't have a lot of extra hose to deal with or get caught on things, so it's not a big deal. This cannula will be a hit with you.
The product is exactly what it says it is, but asthmatics should exercise caution. We aired out the product for three days, as is customary for us, but it triggered an attack within a few hours. br>We do not recommend this product.
