I'd say it's somewhere between 16 and 18 inches.
I use one set on an 8' bench span, though it is attached to a 90 degree turn in the bench, and I think two would be sufficient.
Legs that provide more support, as well as single legs that can be attached closer to the table's edges.

We made a 24" bench with a live edge plank using our set of legs. The legs arrived quickly, were exactly as described, had exact dimensions, and were symmetrical and stable on both sides.
When our order arrived earlier than expected, we were overjoyed; however, when we opened the package, we were disappointed. The rusted steel used to make our order was used. br>I don't think it could have rusted this much during the shipment, so the supplier must have noticed it when the order was placed. When it came to selecting the steel materials for the order, I wish there had been a little more discretion on the production side of things. br>They appear to be well-made and quite durable. I didn't plan on having to paint these black to cover up the rust, so I'm not looking forward to the extra work. br>Overall, it's a simple and quick way to order custom steel legs; if you don't mind doing a little extra cleaning.
The size, color, and other aspects were accurate, but the finish did not match the description. On the legs I received, there appears to be no finish coat - The oxide finish from the hot roll process is all there is to it. Because the oxide peels away at the 90-degree bends, I would expect rusting to occur there almost immediately if exposed to moisture. The hot roll oxide will rust over time, so these legs would be a five-star product if they were finish coated after bending.
I'm very pleased with them. They completed a wood-burning project that I'm keeping indoors nicely. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that you'll have to apply a finish to them yourself if you want to use them outside and avoid rusting.
These end table legs appeal to me very much. I've been making wood and resin tables for a while, and while I like hairpin legs, they get old after a while, and I don't always have the time, energy, or supplies to make wooden legs. These are an excellent option. I received exactly what I ordered and it is very well constructed. There are no screws, but that is not a problem for me because I have plenty. These were used to make an end table in Osage orange. That's exactly what I needed. Made in a hurry, and delivered in a hurry.
They were docked one star because they sat a little too close together. even. However, a couple of small felt pads fix this. I would recommend this product because it is of good quality.
These legs are ideal: they're strong, sturdy, and well-made. For something custom made, the delivery time was quick, and they were well-packaged to ensure that they arrived undamaged. For heavy items, it's a good fit. Once again, thank you for a fantastic product and excellent service.
Packaging that is clever. Simple enough, I was concerned when the box was slightly mangled, but these legs would be difficult to damage. They are much more in keeping with the theme of our room than the standard hair-style. For a chunky live edge table, pin legs are used. Thank you for your reasonable pricing and prompt service!.
