I had high hopes for a positive encounter - This was my first experience with this brand, and I was blown away by the overall flavor and texture - Each of us devoured it in record time - a tasty, texture-rich, and flavorful festive dish - I was very pleased with the product and intend to buy it again. Tapenade is one of my favorite things to eat, and this one is particularly tasty.
I have to concur with the previous reviewer who stated that it is tasty but salty. I was hesitant to bring it to the gathering for which I had bought it, but I brought low-cost alternatives. Crackers and bread with salt It would be too much to eat it with regular salted crackers. It would be one thing if the olives and capers were salty on their own, but I see that salt is added as well. Still, it's tasty, and it went over well at the party.
This tapenade gets a 3 from me in terms of taste. 5 stars. It's adequate but not exceptional. The reason for the one star is that Amazon packed two jars in a box with no protection, and one of them arrived with the lid open enough to leak. Because it is food, it is not returnable, so I guess I'll just have to throw it away and not get my money back!.
With baguette slices, I served this at a recent party. It went over extremely well. Many of my friends were enthralled by it and inquired as to where they could obtain some for themselves. It's delicious. The flavor is fantastic. It is slightly more expensive than other tapenades, but it is well worth it.
It was a hit with both my husband and I. It has the perfect black olive flavor, and I believe it would go well with cheese or other spreads. I tried it with goat cheese as well as on its own. It's fantastic, and I'm looking forward to trying it on sandwiches.
So far, I've used it to make sandwiches in the same way that mayonnaise would be used, but with a smaller amount of mayonnaise. The taste of kalamata olives is strong, but not as salty as the olives themselves. My husband doesn't like olives, so I put a few on his turkey sandwich and he said it was delicious. On sourdough, serve with garlic roasted hummus.
My wife prepares a dish that is one of my favorites, and it necessitates the use of this spread. Let me tell you, the batch she made with this particular brand was fantastic. Great flavor, and thanks to the Olive Spread, it's a very enjoyable dish. as well as my wife.
I just received it and will need to place another order! On toast or sour/french bread, I serve this. It's fantastic! I used to love it with feta, but I don't eat animal products any longer.
