These are pretty awesome considering they have a short list of ingredients, contain CHEESE, and aren't fluorescent orange in color. While these are healthier than the Cheez Doodles we all know and love (and have stained things with orange fingers after eating), they still contain 7 grams of fat per sorta-doodle. It's not a guilt-free snack because of the large bag. But if you're hungry and can spare the calories/fat, go for it. If you're looking for a cheesy, crunchy snack, these are a great option. I'm just glad my seven-year-old daughter thinks THESE are the "ideal" cheese puffs and finds the bright orange ones in the big, clear bag to be far too greasy and tangy. br>br>Now, if they could just make a "crunchy" version of these, I'd be all set. In any case, I suggest you give these a shot.
I'm used to the smaller snack size, so this is twice as much as I want or need. I'd like to see these available in mini-size bags that can be purchased by the case.
This is a snack that I haven't seen in any of our local supermarkets. I placed an order for a case of puffs on Amazon. On the spur of the moment, I decided to visit the website. I had never done any online grocery shopping before. My wife and I were astounded by the size of this enormous box when it arrived. We laughed hysterically as we unpacked 24 bags of Smart Puffs and immediately devoured one bag. The puffs were tasty, and we didn't feel bad about eating them because of the relatively healthy ingredients they contained. The puffs have a pleasant natural cheese flavor, but eating Gourmet Smart Puffs is a bit of a shock. It feels like a crunchy mouthful of cheesy air when you pop a couple of puffs into your mouth and chew them a few times. Isn't that odd or what? br>br>I think I'd prefer a little more substance in my snacks, but I suppose you can't have everything and still be healthy. Smart puffs don't appear to be unhealthy snacks. br>br>By the way, when you eat Smart Puffs, your fingers do not turn yellow. I've placed an order for Robert's Smart Puffs' second case.
These cheese snacks are one of my favorites. They're difficult to come by in stores, especially single-bag sizes.
This one comes close to being satisfying as a salty snack with plenty of cheesy flavor but none of the strange ingredients found in other popular cheese puff brands. They are appealing to me. They're light and don't contain any additives or colorings, so they're good for you. With all the salt, it's a little too addictive, but if you can resist the urge to eat something crunchy and salty, this is a good alternative. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself. There are no orange fingers, and after eating them, you don't get a weird carb feeling.
Despite being past their expiration date of December 2015, about a third of the bags have a noticeable stale taste. The puffs were always light and crisy, and I used to buy them at my neighborhood gas station until they stopped carrying the brand. Many of these are more chewy than crunchy, and they don't have a fresh flavor. This is most likely due to heat exposure in storage or a similar circumstance.
For me - This is fantastic - They're light and crunchy, with none of the bright orage residue that other brands have. My baby adores them (she hasn't been spoiled by other types), while my older boys aren't fond of them. Other kinds of chips are preferred by them. I believe that if you start them when the children are very young or try them later when they are old enough to understand the concept of nutrition - they will be successful. They're going to be enormously popular. Other brands and other types of salty, crunchy snacks do not appeal to me as much as these do.
The one-ounce packages are ideal as a snack. Crunchy and crumbly, this is a tasty snack. Suitable for sharing.
