After receiving some on a flight, I decided to order these, as any middle-aged man would. Who doesn't want crispy waffle-flavored chips with caramel on top? Mine, on the other hand, had melted. They were squishy, tasted awful, and had clearly spent some time in a hot warehouse before being shipped to me. I wish I could have returned them and received a refund. It's all nonsense. You place your order at your own risk. Mine did not resemble the advertised product in any way. Consider purchasing a box and leaving it on the curb of your driveway for two weeks in the sun. That was the general flavor of them.
I love real Stroopwafels, and despite the fact that these were unusually thin, they were delicious. The packaging, on the other hand, is a different story. Only the fact that the 8 wafers were tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and only filled about 1/2 of the box saved the wafels inside. The wafers appear to have slid to an empty, undamaged part of the box when the boxes were crushed. It was strange and unsettling at first, but it worked out in the end.
After giving them a try, I became addicted to them. RichRebuilds, a popular YouTuber, was destroying them, and I can see why. Every few months, I reward myself with a box. The flavor is a cross between a waffle and a twix with a honey caramel center. In a single day, I can easily empty a box. I'd buy more if it weren't for the high price. These, however, are one-of-a-kind delicacies.
I was disappointed to learn that the caramel stroopwafels I had grown to love were now only available in an 8oz size in the United States. I went in search of the original because of the size. I ordered these and was pleasantly surprised to find that they are identical to the caramel ones in flavor—a little brighter, not quite as smoky, but still the same overall flavor—and that they are the original 10oz size. For the time being, at least, it's all about the size.
Of course, nothing beats a "fresh-from-the-oven" meal. off- the- waffle- maker" . Stroopwafels were introduced to my husband and me during a recent trip to the Netherlands. They are absolutely fantastic. Of course, nothing beats a "fresh-from-the-oven" meal. off- the- waffle- maker" stroopwafels, but that isn't an option right now. Buying packaged ones is the next best thing. Dealman's Stroopwafels are a delicious treat from the Netherlands. We bought several boxes to give to friends, and they, too, are enamored with them. Until I learn how to make my own, I'll be buying this brand from Amazon whenever I need it.
Delicious nibbles Price has increased by 40% in the past two weeks since my first purchase. At $28 for eight wafels (honey flavor), it's a bit pricey for me. I'm not going to buy anything else until the price goes down.
This is fantastic! My friends and I enjoyed them. They are my best friends, after all, and they deserve the best! This book comes highly recommended.
