The one that ripened ripened while the other one didn't

The one that did got ripe, but the one that did not had a delicious taste! The shipping was fast and well done and I ended up eating the most delicious fruit I've ever had! I wouldn't buy from this retailer again since I don't want to take that chance, but the fruits were delicious and shipping was fast.

Mamey is not what you mean. Zapote is what you are looking at. It has a similar flavor, fragrance, and pit to melons but a different flesh, flavor, and fragrance.
