The season, specifically summer and early fall, gives me plenty of these fruits, which I cut within a day or two and freeze I love the way they taste and how sweet they are. I can vouch for the fact that it was one of the BEST pineapples I have ever eaten! This was a good buy because it was big, ripe, and sweet at such a low price. There's also pineapple / habanero salsa, pina colada, and plain ice cream to be had.
As soon as they arrived, all of them were rotten. The three got torn open one by one and I had to throw them all away. It will never happen again for me to order pineapple from Amazon Fresh.
I have not cut it open yet so I don't know what the flavor will be like, but it is very hard and unripe. I need to pay more attention to quality! The fruit never ripened after arrival and arrived completely green. As soon as they are picked, they never actually ripen any further. Upon arrival, it was not fit for eating, and it was still unfit after a week and a half. should have been allowed to enter the store, and never should have made it onto a customer's doorstep.
Sadly, I couldn't eat more than 1/2 of this one because you could tell before cutting into it that it was extremely soft on one side. I shouldn't have received this at all. It was a bad decision for me to order it.
We've ordered two in the past and none of them has worked out. do not plan to order this a third time, as I doubt I will ever be able to purchase pineapples from Fresh again. It wasn't good.
