They did not look ripe, are small, and are unripe. I received Asian pears from Tropical Importer/Donate Fruit in a standard U. S. bag. Container for mail that is categorized as priority. The package was well But that was really all they had to offer. Their Asian pears are far too expensive and definitely not "premium," as they describe them. As an Asian resident for 9 years, I have noticed that lower priced Asian pears ($2 each) are not as sweet as premium Donate Fruits/Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits charge about 33% more for an average tasting pear than they would for A South Korean or Japanese conglomerate). It takes between 5 and 10 minutes A total of seven Asian pears weighing approximately five As have been reported, many Asian pears had partial green coloration (not yellow with a slight brown hue as is typical). Their texture on the outside was unusually smooth, which is not typical of Asian pears, whose outsides tend to be slightly rougher. Compared to the Asian pears I buy at the local grocery store chain, Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits' Asian pears tasted no better. I will give you an example of Trader Joe's. If I were to rank Asian pears on a scale of 1 to 10 (where 1 is not sweet/not delicious, and 10 is sweet/delicious), I would rate Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits Asian pears and Trader Joe's Asian pears A major issue is that Tropical Importers/Donate Fruits Asian pears are over $33 higher than "premium" Asian pears but lack the same level of quality by contrast, Trader Joe's Asian pears seem reasonably priced and similar to There's no typo in that sentence. For the price of 1 Asian pear from Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits, you can purchase 4 Asian pears from your local grocery store that are of the same quality and sweetness. Upon further reflection, I realized what Tropical Importer / Donate Fruits do is simply go to their local grocery store, select five pounds of cheap small unripe fruit, and then store them in their refrigerator until they are ready to use them. The pears should be ripe and packed in a fixed rate U. S. bag. You should pack and ship the documents in a priority mail container. Is there a reason for my opinion? Here's what you need to know There is still the same sticker number 4408 on the Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits Asian pears I purchased here on Amazon as it is on the Trader Joe's Asian pears I find it frustrating that American pears ordered from Harry and David do not come with labels. The term "stickers" is synonymous with "buy at the local grocery store". "OK, so I believe I was duped by Tropical Import Company/Donate In conclusion, although Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits charges about 1/4 the price of the same quality Asian pear, you can get the same fruit at your local grocery store. The Tropical Importer/Donate Fruits ship to your door, but the cost of shipping to your door is not worth it- Approximately 75% more than last year.
We cut into each one and found they were very bitter and had brown spots inside. From the outside, they looked ok, but when cut into they were nothing to eat. It was not as good as those I got from asian market near my house. I got similar ones there and they were delicious- It was not safe to eat them - I urge you not to order them.
I will not buy this product.
So far, our experience was very different from previous reviewers in that the pears were large and quite tasty. The product we purchased was exactly what we were looking for.
When I ordered this the first time, I received 4 large pears, and both the taste and texture were excellent. In a second order I got nine small pears, and the taste was not as good as the first order. If you can, choose large pears.
Pears that are huge and have tons.
At a Japanese market, I found them. My first bite was love at first bite. These are the best I've ever eaten.
