Years, in my opinion. Dried beans, grains, and vegetables are the main ingredients. When sealed and stored at room temperature, they have the same shelf life as any other dried bean. This is only my personal opinion.
1 cup.
The split pea soup contains no gluten, but the split pea with barley does.

Freddy's (10 years ago) - It's something I've used before. I've always included fresh garlic, carrots, onion, and celery in the base, as well as ham (at the very least). yet, as you can imagine, is adding the ham bone). When I use the ham bone, I wait until the end of the cooking time (e. g. , 30 minutes) before using it. last 15- Toss in the ham chunks after about a minute of simmering time. The FLAVOR is OUT OF THIS WORLD - It is, without a doubt, correct. a Delightful Split-Flavor Pea Soup. Following the fog-making instructions thick (stew-like) soup, or add more chicken broth (instead of water) for a brothier soup - In any case, the taste is Outstanding. TASTY!.
Because there are no vegetables in the soup, it's a good idea to add sauteed garlic, onions, celery, and carrots. I also threw in some ham that I had on hand. I used the amount of water recommended on the package, and the soup turned out perfectly.
I love this product, and I always start the soup with the recommended amount of water on each package, as well as carrots, celery, onion, and a white potato (or two if I use two packages at once). I frequently include diced, smoked hamsteak or sliced kosher hot dogs in the mix for added comfort. WHAT A FANTASTIC SOUP.
Add anything you want if you want, and it will just be an added bonus. This is something I strongly suggest.
I'm unable to comment on the price-to-quality ratio. It appears to be a bit costly. It's also delicious cooked with or without meats, simply by seasoning vegetables or adding different vegetables, and it's simple to prepare with very little cooking time; I think you'll like it.
I've been using this product for decades and it's still one of my favorites. Until the soup has been refrigerated overnight, it appears to be very thin. Because it's a little salty for my diet, I add more water or broth, but it's delicious!.
This soup mix is simple to make, flavorful, and comes with a seasoning packet. I make a double batch, start with a little chopped ham or kielbasa, and add frozen diced veggies 10 minutes before turning off the heat (I use chicken/veg). For added flavor, use broth instead of water, and gradually add seasonings pack to taste. I freeze in small containers. Enjoy a delicious and healthy home-cooked soup.
the flavoring- I was surprised at how small the split peas were: too much salt, too much salt, too much salt, too much salt, too much salt, too much salt, too much salt, Split peas are usually larger than whole peas. I was also taken aback by the saltiness of the spice package: I threw it out and replaced it with my own spices, including salt, pepper, thyme, and bayleafs- For flavor, I added carrots and onions, as well as a turkey leg. Overall, I believe the soup will be acceptable, but I will not purchase this brand again.
