Almost four decades have gone by! A French pea soup such as this cannot be described with words alone! I'll never forget the taste and texture of it! Since it became available in the U

S. decades ago, the technology has been unavailable. This wasn't available on Amazon, and I searched for it there but Taking a second look was so worth it. It was well padded and each can was packaged in bubble wrap, so nobody was injured. The boxes were bigger than I had anticipated, but it doesn't matter, I can have some leftover for another time. I'm just so glad that I am able to enjoy them once again.

It takes me back to my childhood home
5/5

Despite having grown up in Montreal for 50 years, I still crave my Habitant. I'd have my relatives ship it to California for me, where my mother would hide it and hand it out one by one. My soup was the same as I remember it, with a hunk of buttered sourdough in In case of a rainy day, I ration my own. You will not regret treating yourself every now and then. It can get a bit pricey, but sometimes you just have to do Put salt and pepper on the chicken and let the sourdough dunk do its job. You'll love it!.

I am a fan of pea soup
5/5

The Habitant pea soup that we eat here in Thailand is something you can't get in the States. I was surprised to learn that it was sent from Queen's University Previously, I bought this from a shop on the Internet There used to be a line through My Canadian Favorite but they don't seem to exist anymore.

Efforts must be made to pack consistently and with attention
3/5

A favorite of mine. I chose it because other reviews praised its packaging. A total of 5 of the 6 cans arrived heavily dented. The six cans are covered in a thin layer of bubble wrap. None of the boxes are dented or damaged in any way. It's my soup I want, I got my refund! Can you ship the cans with cardboard between them? I did not taste my favorite soup, so it gets a low rating.

Describe how the product was shipped / packaged I'm the boss
5/5

Having previously mentioned that the original box led to each can being dented in shipping, I will reiterate that fact. Each and every one of the cans in this shipment was individually wrapped with bubble wrap, according to our delivery person. I've not seen even the slightest You did a great job. You did a great job.

This soup is wonderful! I love it! It was something my mother bought for me when I was a child. Due to the fact that we were French, she purchased it Originally from Canada.

We no longer have ham for picnics on the receipt
3/5

Over the past 60 years, I have been eating Habitant Canadian pea soup and am disappointed that they no longer have picnic ham in the soup, but they do have lard in it. The water is not as favorably disposed as it once was, and is more watery now To view the original, please click here.

Purchases can now be made in the United States

The product was packed well and was undamaged when it arrived. With an expiration date of 2022, the price is not too bad at all and is actually reasonable given how difficult it is to travel from and to This seller would be recommended if you are happy with your purchase.
