Questions & Answers
Yes! Purchasing this large container rather than individual packets saves you a lot of money. I've been using it for several years and have had great success with it.
I have no idea because I keep it in the freezer with other large quantities of food and spices.
There was no mention of "salt free" on my container, and sodium was listed as well. Although it contains "natural spices," one of them is ordinary salt.

McCormacks is the name of the restaurant. I really enjoy it. I keep it on hand for a variety of reasons - On Saturday mornings, I like to add a third of a cup to the meatloaf mix, along with biscuits and gravy. a gravy to go with the mashed potatoes whatever. In the pantry, I also keep a few ten-can dehydrated mushrooms - So you simply toss a few of those into the gravy mix to re-hydrate it. hydrate, and you've got yourself some delicious mushroom brown gravy! Make a sauce with the onions, mushrooms, and gravy to serve over plain hamburgers. Your imagination is the only limit to the possibilities - And this stuff is simple to mix and delicious to eat! The cost is very reasonable - It's less expensive than my local supermarket. Here, there will be no regrets!.
This product was previously available at Costco in the same size, but it was discontinued for unknown reasons. Rather than purchasing a large number of small packages, which is more expensive, this two-pack of large containers is less expensive. I usually make my own gravies, but this is a great alternative.
I've been using the packets for a long time because I thought it would save me money. Instead, it was squandered on two containers of non-thickening product. I'm cooking the mix the same way I cooked the packets, according to the directions, and it's not thickening at all with any additional boiling or cooling. Is there a problem with the current batch? Until this purchase, I had never had any issues with McCormick products.
I use it to season and baste roasts, stews, soups, and, yes, gravy. This is a fantastic product that is well worth the money. It's also beneficial because, unlike some other products, it doesn't overpower your dish with salt. Before you reach for the salt shaker, you only use enough to add flavor.
This gravy mix is quite good for a gravy mix. This gravy mix will work well if you don't have the time or drippings from your meat to make a good gravy. I usually combine it with a small amount of drippings or whatever amount I have on hand, or I've discovered that mixing it with any flavor of canned or jarred gravy improves the flavor. I got it for a good price by buying three of them, but because they wouldn't ship to Hawaii, I had it sent to a friend in Kansas, who mailed it to me along with some other items I had ordered. For a powdered gray mix, it's pretty darn good, so I gave it five stars.
This is a gravy mix that we enjoy quite a bit. It's simple to do. Of course, starting with a little beef juice or drippings rather than water is preferable. br>I no longer buy canned gravy because homemade gravy tastes just as good, is less expensive, and takes up less space in the pantry.
This had a distinct flavor from the McCormick brown gravy I usually buy at the store. I threw it out because I was afraid it was fake. It had a peculiar flavor. Horrible. I just went to Costco in the end. I'm not going to buy anything else in the future.
You can make as much gravy as you want with this recipe. It has a good concept.
