It has caused me to retain water weight in excess of five pounds every time I have used it. I won't consider taking any of the stars away from the sauce, because like I said, it is a delicious sauce it's just that my body does not seem to enjoy.
Yamasa is my favourite brand of soy sauce and Shoyu. All you've ever had is the American Kikkoman from the grocery store, I assure you that you will be amazed by any 1l bottle you get at your local Japanese market or from this site. For the real stuff, you will have to pay more, but it is well worth the cost. Their purpose is to convey the idea that this sauce is bolder than their typical sauce. Although this is a complex system, it is not expensive enough to make me feel guilty about For those who want to be soy snobs, remember that there is a great difference between, for example, Chinese (Pearl River Bridge) and Japanese (Yamasa) soy sauces and Thai (Green Mountain) soy sauces. It has to be said again that don't be confused (especially if you're talking about Japanese ones) by sauces that resemble As a matter of fact, I always keep six or more different bottles of soy sauce on hand.
are huge soy sauce fans in our family, and especially enjoy the Japanese imported variety as it is more flavorful. Also, salty foods are very much a part of our diet, probably more than is healthy for us. While it smelled and looked nice, the taste was absolutely salty. Being frugal, not to mention cheap, I tried adding 50% water, but it was still far too salty to actually use as a condiment. Yamasa is no wonder one reviewer complained about fluid retention after using the product. In the future, we will buy Kikkoman Japan Made soy sauce, which is well worth the money.
I discovered through sampling some other brands that it stands out from the rest. I'm finding that it is becoming harder and harder to find in local stores in the Northwest It is fortunately possible to get the same product at a good price on Amazon. It's even more fortunate, however, that Amazon also offers Yamasa that is imported from Japan and is made there. A side-by-side comparison shows this import surpasses the Yamasa manufactured here (I think in Oregon? I can't figure out why there is still a Kikkoman and those other brands in local stores Brands with a dark color. In both color and flavor, lightness is one of the best things about Yamasa. There is a certain amount of spoiling, but it is a good kind of spoiling.
Rather than pouring an already cooked dish into the pot. It's important to remember that Yamasa uses alcohol as a preservative rather than sodium benzoate (sodium benzoate provides it with its signature salty taste). As a result, this product does not taste at all salty or sweet. When mixed and cooked properly, it can make for delicious food. This is not the product you are looking for if you are looking for salty or sweet soy sauce. However, do not add it to a meal that has already been cooked.
) As I've been seeking to expand the quality and authenticity of my cooking ingredients, I sought a Stunning. I can't say enough good things about it. I would recommend it highly.
