Traditional soy sauce pales in comparison to the Aloha Shoyu. It's a little sweeter and a lot smoother. Since receiving the Aloha Shoyu, I haven't used my regular soy sauce. br>br>This order arrived earlier than expected, in good condition, and with no problems. br>br>I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great Shoyu sauce that is a good alternative to traditional harsh soy sauce.
I was surprised to learn that soy sauces like Kikkoman and others - which you might think you'd buy - have a high sodium content. I was looking for recommendations on soy sauces and came across the Aloha Shoyu, which I decided to try - basically chemically created soups full of sodium and that one note taste. I was hoping to avoid being stuck with two large bottles of sauce that would go unused. This was not the case, thankfully. br>br>I have to say, I am a huge fan of this sauce. It was bought primarily for fried rice, and that is how it is most often used, but it also goes well with scrambled eggs and chicken. It's difficult to put into words the flavor, but as others have stated, it's much more mild and balanced. good! On the other hand, this sauce has a lower sodium content. Because soy sauce has such a high salt content, I've discovered that I don't need nearly as much as I used to and still get a great flavor. br>br> I think I've found my new favorite brand of soy sauce, and I think the Hawaiians know what they're doing when it comes to tasty sauces.
This is a much better alternative. This is something you should try if you haven't already. You should do so. It is far superior to anything available in a typical supermarket. Also, don't keep your soy sauce in the fridge. At room temperature, it tastes MUCH better.
I'm not sure if I'm alone in this, but sodium benzoate has a distinct flavor to it. I saw the five-star reviews and decided not to look too hard because I assumed others would notice the strong flavor. br>br>I guess it doesn't bother anyone else.
When I lived in Hawaii for 11 years, I used Aloha Shoyu every day, but when I returned to the mainland, I couldn't find it in any of the stores. I discovered it in an oriental store in Orlando in 2016 and purchased a large quantity of it. I couldn't find it in Maine as well. I recently discovered that Amazon sold it, so I ordered some more. Now I'm aware of where I can obtain it whenever I need it. Aloha brand shoyu has always been one of my favorites!.
Two bottles for $13 plus shipping? It doesn't get any better than that! It's a genuine product.
Da kine, I find Aloha shoyu to be the best.
