Fish sauces imported from other countries tend not to contain gluten. It says it's gluten free on Red Boat's website There are three components to anchovies salt, water, and anchovies. The product is great.

I checked with Red Boat, and I found out that they no longer ship to any of my addresses, so it is a Costco product. I'm going to follow Red Boat's advice and buy their 640ml from them, and I'm going to ask Amazon how to return the bulk 750ml in the (ugh) plastic bottle that came with it. It's a good idea to let us know.
Having been exposed to air (and therefore darkening in color), fish sauce holds its flavor longer once opened. It is best to use fish sauce within three months because it gets funkier after a few months.

The flavor of fish sauce adds a melange of meaty flavors to a wide range of dishes. It has an intense flavor, so be careful, add just a little bit at a time, and sample it as you do. Additions can be harmful if they are too many. Although it smells like fish in the bottle, it doesn't actually taste like fish until you add too much of it. I think it's pretty good stuff all in all. If you are using the first few times, try it carefully, so you can learn how much to use.
(To my taste) This is the smoothest fish sauce I have ever tried. From a family that has had much more experience in fish sauce, it comes highly recommended to me. It is a perfect match for me. In order to make all my recipes in Red Boat, I am converting to it. In addition to using Red Boat in all of my dipping sauces, I use other marinades as well. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend you do.
Especially when I had just cooked them in the fish sauce. It was nice to have a flavor that was 'rich' instead of smelly or fishy.
The possibilities are endless when you use it in your cooking. There is no better way to enhance salads than with mayo. Avacado (sliced and drizzled with red boat and freshly ground pepper) is a great dish to try it with. is nature's version of MSG and goes so well with food like beef and lamb. It only takes a short amount of cooking to remove the fishy smell and taste. Red Boat has a quality that is so much higher than the crap that you can buy in most markets, including authentic oriental markets, that I do not understand how they can do it, I have to say. Now is the time to act. This product is for sale. There is now a second picture of the SUCHI fish sauce on the site. Generally speaking, I prefer Red Boat, but I believe both of these fish sauces are very authentic and that everybody has their own taste.
The product was broken and dripping when it arrived. The odor it created in the apartment and the destruction of my floor mat made the whole thing smell bad. It is outrageous that the product is not refundable. This is really poor customer service, but this is a very good product otherwise. They need to realize that a product like this should be packaged in.

They last for a very long time and I have never had any The taste of the nuoc mam sauce hasn't differed greatly since 1968 when I first used it, and I haven't found another that compares.
The fermented taste of the sauce smells horrible, but it's both incredibly delicious and nutritious at the same time. I don't think you can cook some authentic foods without fish sauce, and this one is the best. I ordered it one day after I placed the order, and it arrived within a day.
