This sauce is not authentic gochujang sauce based on the ingredients listed. Since this does not require refrigeration in the real authentic sense, I should have known that.

I bought it years ago and I can't seem to find it anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I love this spicy Gochujang For any dish I want to spice up, this is my go-to ingredient. My love for this is due to the fact that it is slightly sweet and not really that There is still a kick to it and I personally cannot tolerate a lot hot sauces because I am very sensitive to spicy food. However, this one is perfect, as it is spicy without being overpowering. For all those people who want to add a little spice to their food, but are worried about it being too spicy, I would recommend this. Since I began buying this sauce a couple years ago, I have developed a taste for it. The flavor is pretty sweet and earthy due to the gochujang, but there is not too much gochujang flavor in this bowl, so if you were expecting something bibimbapesque this will disappoint you. This is a very hot dish, but you can rely on a strong Umami taste, a syrupy sweetness, and a noticeable smokiness to balance it out.
