It is difficult to select a favorite type of Gochujang because there are so many. My taste buds differ from everyone else's, so I will only share my opinions based on what I like. I tend to go for the Gochujang that has a musty (fermented) smell, with a modest level of spice, and I like it not to be too sweet or too As aforementioned, this particular gochujang tasted pretty nice, but it was a bit sweeter than I expected. It was my first time using this Korean condiment, but I bought it to use in a recipe that specified gochujang or sriracha, which I frequently use. As far as Roland's is concerned, I cannot compare it with the others. However, it is not hot at all, and it doesn't really taste like much. In my experience this is very sweet and makes it seem like those overly sweet barbecue sauces that some people like. I should have used the Sriracha that was in my fridge instead. I was able to save some money by buying second hand. I will not replace this product if it is typical of "Korean hot chili paste. ".

This is my second experience using Gochujang products, and I do not consider myself an expert in this way of chili paste. This brand of chili paste does not compete with that of the "Wholly Gochujang," which I can no longer find.
