I have had gochujang from very mild to volcano hot, and I must confess that this was very spicy, and I have a sweet tooth for spicy foods. From 1 to 10, please describe what you would like Instead of giving this a 10, I would surely assign it It's true that I eat spicy foods almost daily and that I own and use one of the hottest hot sauces in the world, so trust me when I tell you that this is pretty spicy. The color of this gochujang was darker than most other gochujang you can find in a warehouse, which indicates that it has ripened while it sat. Gochujang with a deep hue of orange is my personal favorite, but ripened gochujang seems to have a superior flavor. I had a red almost maroon color. While the flavors of the food were great, I was taken off guard by the amount of heat my homemade tteokbokki possessed when I tried it for the first time. Although I ate it with occasional tears (perhaps from dust in my eyes), I could not prevent my eyes from watering. Although the meal did not make me feel queasy or give me burning symptoms later that day, it was not unpleasant. Those of you who love spicy, flavorful food as much as I do will find this very appealing. My opinion is that this sauce won't help in any way if spicy food isn't your thing.

It is for making authentic kimchi that I bought this. OH MY GOD! This is hotter than a ghost pepper in the Desert of the Sahara! I am a spicy-feisty and tolerant person, but I sure won't recommend it to the faint of heart. It shouldn't break anytime soon. Ain't nothing going to ruin this tub!.

This is a tasty and spicy dish! Spice up your life by saying it's hot! Although I love eating hot peppers and spicy food in general, I have an iron gut that can take on ghost pepper hot sauce as if it were water, and this is by no means on par with ghost peppers, but it does have a nice kick. Getting used to "spicy" labeled foods from the USA or salsa, only to find it to be milder than a bell pepper has been driving me crazy. A jalapeno or a deseeded serrano pepper would be the closest to what this spicy sauce tastes like. It's silken smooth, sweet, salty, and tangy. I love using this in stir fries and to dip tofu with. The next time I’ll order one that’s spicier, but this tub from the manufacturer is rather large, so it’ll last me quite a while, and I highly recommend it!.

There's nothing better than this stuff. It's impossible for me to stop thinking about it. With rice and noodles, as well as steamed or sautéed vegetables, it's a tasty dish. The chicken or shrimp or beef is excellent. My favorite way to use it is to stir it into I can't get enough of this stuff. Almost every meal we have involves it, and we ate half of it in a few weeks. Oh, and I made the first time ever Kimche from this, some shredded carrots and cabbage, as well as some spring onions I added rice vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic as well. I love the way it turned out! There's no doubt that this gochujang is fantastic.

Bobby Flay may be all gung-ho, but the point is still the same That's all I have to say. In spite of this, I bought it for a new recipe that claimed to be the best hot-pot recipe I have ever had Possibly the best sweet-and-sour soup I have ever had. I see why everyone is enamored with this stuff now. You don't have to worry about eating acidic food I really like it because there isn't so much heat in it- I'm definitely going to use all this stuff up.

Despite the fact that the box is a bit small for me, I like the taste of the product. As you can see on the pictures, the sauce is securely sealed (see photos) and it is a deep, rich reddish brown in color. As you can see in the photo, the color is brighter when spread thinly. It has a sludgey texture but is I can't believe how delicious this is. This sauce has a complex taste that you cannot compare to a single hot pepper or hot sauce. Haba*eros I can handle, but this wasn't one of them. A taste straight out of the The whole tongue was buzzing from all the different kinds of flavors that hit all the different taste buds, an explosion of flavors Spicy, sour, sweet, and funky all rolled into one. It was nothing like the bottled gojuchang sauce I had previously tried. These so-called Mexican candies with tamarind, spices, etc. , reminded me of Mexican candies. Unfortunately, it was too late to simply consume its flavor on chicken right away, so sadly, I had none of these ingredients on hand! If you don't mind spice and complex flavors, then you won't be disappointed with this. Hopefully I will have some time to cook with it and I'll update this post once I do!.

Their amazon listing says to look at the ingredients above. It isn't a bad spicy paste, but there is a slight bitterness and there is a crucial ingredient missing. It is a sweet rice. Rice that is glutinous. You can call it what you like. There wasn't even any rice on the table. If i did not already know what gochujang tasted like with the traditional rice, I would have substituted corn syrup for the sweetness of rice. I am to used to it after eating gochujang made with the traditional rice. Everyone else will probably ask their mother to make some gochujang. You will probably be fine with this. The only exception is that I will use this with sweeter soups to lessen the bitter taste a bit.
