Initially, I didn't think I would like water crackers with brie, but when it arrives in the presence of fig jam, it just BEGS to be eaten. The fact that my local grocery store has started to carry it leads me to think I must be "up to date". Oh, ha ha!.

In my own opinion, this is one of the best fig jams I've tried. There is a flavor that "really" tastes like fig, and not one that is too sweet. I have been trying to find a recipe close to what my grandmother made and while this does not have the lemon peel that she used, it is still quite close. I have tried at least six others and this is by far the best. It proves how important it is to choose the ingredients carefully. There is a strong similarity between the tastes. In addition to the fig spread atop artisanal bread, a buttered croissant, and with a triscuit topped with sharp cheddar cheese, I've devoured it. The product is excellent, I would buy it.

It was at a Whole Foods that we first tried this jam with cambazola and manchego. A fig jam recipe ( Do you have a sense of humor? The cheese plate didn't appeal to me, but it was on the cheese plate, so we tried it). It's love at first sight! It was at a friend's a few months ago that I had this spread. Amazon had it here for me! I was so glad to find it! On water crackers with brie cheese, fig jam complements the flavor of the cheese. Prosciutto and it adds a lot of flavor to pizza. I love it! The fact that it comes from my homeland makes it even more special for me. It takes courage to go to Croatia.
