Its not surprising to me that since I live far away from the Windy City, I make Chicago style Italian beef often. Giardiniera is an essential part of Italian Beef as we know. What is the quality of this Italian Beef that you would get in an actual Italian Beef shop This is a jar of fresh honey and not fresh from the farm. What you are asking is, is it 95% as good for its main purpose of providing a delicious "cheesy beef" just like that you might find at Novi's in Berwyn, from the convenience of your Yeah, it's a definite yes! What makes this brand different from the jarred Giardinieras from other vendors? Is it very different? They all work pretty much the same way.
As a child in Chicago, I ate a lot of giardiniera with Italian beef dishes. The flavor of this blend wasn't great, nor was it especially a lot of oil in it, which, in my opinion, ruined the heat of the dish. Brands like this are more superior to this. Vienna is the name of a great beef hot dog that my dad used to make when I was a kid. These peppers, however, are not as good as they should be.
